Cherry Oak Barn - A peaceful countryside retreat

Welcome to Cherry Oak, a lovely two bedroom barn conversion, conveniently situated within the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire countryside. Via a picture window to the rear, you look out onto stunningly picturesque countryside as far as the eye can see, including an impressive view of the 'On Freedom's Wings' sculpture, and towards the front, the outlook is over our cottage-style garden with fruit trees and a generous lawn area. The space The barn is self-catering accommodation with two bedrooms which we can set up with either two double beds or as one double and two single beds according to your requirements. All bedding and towels are provided. The front door opens into a double height open plan lounge and dining space, a downstairs shower room with toilet and a well appointed kitchen with hob/ oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, blender, refrigerator/freezer and washing machine/ tumble dryer. The two upstairs bedrooms are accessed via a mezzanine landing and there is also an upstairs toilet room. We are happy for you to have access to the entire garden and you have your own private gated decking area for alfresco dining with picnic table and sun parasol and comfy chairs. Smoking is permitted in the outdoor seating area. Enjoy curling up on the huge corner sofa with a good book / in front of the TV or indulge in a bit of nature watching through the picture window. Brown hares can regularly be seen grazing in the field along with red legged partridges, pheasants, deer, squirrels, owls and a host of other wildlife are regular visitors both in the garden and in the fields to the rear. There is free WiFi and the mobile phone reception is excellent. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV are available on the TV along with the usual channels. We have also provided a selection of board games, children's art and colouring equipment for your entertainment. There are beautiful woodlands nearby for country walks and there is a public footpath, via a stile, next to the property that leads out over an open field and into the countryside, the field may be inaccessible when ploughed. We will do our best to make sure you leave feeling as if you have had a well earned rest and a relaxing stay in a peaceful countryside setting close to nature. We look forward to welcoming you - Geoff and Cas :-) Guest access We normally greet and welcome guests upon arrival and for your convenience there is a key safe available to use Other things to note Extra Guests The barn is ideally set up to accommodate four guests (adults or children) and unfortunately the sofa doesn't have a pull-out bed. There is limited space & facilities within the barn to accommodate extra guests, however if you are comfortable with this then we can supply you with a Z-bed (single or double) which you can use. For us to accommodate extra guests we would require a supplementary charge of £10 per guest per night and we'll organise the Z-bed and any extra linen, duvet, pillows, towels, crockery and cutlery required.
