Dáphne Village House /between Methana & Poros

We welcome you in our cottage house in Taktikoupoli, boasting a strategic location between Methana and Poros island, just 1 km away from the nearest coast (by car). A peaceful retreat away from town noises but so close to excellent choices such as Methana Volcano, Thermal Volcanic Spa, Ancient Theater of Epidayros, DevilBridge, Vathi fish taverns, Psifta Lake. Plus, the garden spot is a lovely place to watch the sunset. All you need is a vehicle (mandatory) and travel mood! The space The Daphne Village House have a living room with one sofa-bed (double when you open it - 1.4 m width, 2.0 m length - comfortable for two persons to sleep) and a fireplace (we provide woods for 1-time use, then in case you want to use it again, you may ask us where you can buy). The kitchen has an oven, a fridge, coffee machine and all the necessary equipment for cooking. The aircondition is in the living room only (inverter 12000BTU). There is a separate bedroom with a double bed (queen size), closet and television (Smart TV, Comote TV for movies and animations). Outside of the house you will find a very big veranda to relax and enjoy the sweet sounds of the nature and a place for private parking. You may hear animal sounds from a small farm near the house. May neighbor's cats visit the garden or the veranda. Also, the parking lot and the garden is shared with Elia Village House. So, it is also a perfect choice for group vacation! Guest access The hole house, the veranda and the parking lot are available for the guests. All the spaces are fenced. Pets allowed! Other things to note *** T R A V E L G U I D E *** The village has a mini market to buy necessary things. But for variety there are supermarkets in Methana and Galatas. For crowed entertaining places (coffee shops, clubs, restaurants) you should also go to Methana, Kalloni, Galatas and Poros. This is the benefit of the house - away from the noises but near all the choices. More details: The house is located between Methana , Kalloni and Galatas-Poros. So you can start discover the hole area. Taktikoupoli village is know about the Favieros castle. You can walk up to the castle if you like challenges (medium difficulty). About peninsula of Methana: - You can go swim at Limnionas beach (Laplaya) - There are thermal volcanic spa free in the nature (Pausanias baths, Radon Thermal Spring) - Vathi port for taverns with fresh fish and amazing sunset - Walk at the Volcano for a small adventure About the closest beaches: From the house you drive 5-7 minutes and you reach the sea. There you will find a lot of small natural coasts to swim and a bigger beach near Psifta Lake with beach bar. After the beach bar you will find the lake of Psifta which is very beautiful (you don’t swim there only watch :)). If you are lucky, you will see flamingos there. About Kalloni: You will meet this village as go come from Athens after Epidayros. There are two “hidden” nice places -A top beach-coast Votsalakia which has very clean water, very nice colors and a big rock from where you can jump. There is and a small cantina where you can relax and enjoy the view -A Resort which is a very nice place with swimming pool and a variety of nice food As you go to Galatas: You SHOULD go to Devilbridge, which it is a small paradise. You park your car at the end of the road and then you walk until you find the lake to swim. You need athletic shoes :) About Galatas: There you will find supermarket and whatever you need. I will propose you some places for very tasty food and coffee After Galatas you keep driving and you go to Plaka. -There you can swim at Aliki beach with the natural small islands or Plaka beach -You may go to famous Lemonodasos (lemon tree forest) for an amazing walking in the nature From Galatas you go to Poros by ferry boat or by small boats. I suggest you go by ferry with your car in order to discover the hole island of Poros. You will find the beach of Askeli. If you keep driving you can swim at Monastiri beach and at the beach of Sirene Blue Resort. At the other side of the island(Neorios) you will find Love bay and Russian bay. At the center of Poros you should walk at the paths, go up at the Clock to enjoy the magnificent view. Also from the house you drive one hour and you go to Nafplio(with the famous Palamidi and Bourtzi).
