LA HUPPE Normandy/Loire barn

La Martinière-Saint Aubin Fosse Louvain Our Barn has 2x 60m2 Gites each on two levels. L’HIRONDELLE and LA HUPPE. We have created modern accommodation but kept the character of the barn with its original oak beams and stone. Located on the Normandy/Loire border in a rural location offering couples a quiet escape to the countryside. Self catered, but your choice of our breakfast option. Centrally based for guests to visit the many medieval towns, markets, walks and attractions within the region. The space Ground floor has under floor heating and consists of comfortable arm chairs in front of the woodburner/TV (French and UK) Dining table (seats 4) and a fitted kitchen with dish washer, fridge, gas hob and electric cooker. Kitchen area also has a coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Upstairs the bedroom also has under floor heating with the bathroom en-suite. The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with the original oak beams. A Super King size bed (choice of summer or winter tog duvets) which can be split should guests prefer twin beds. For your added luxury large bath sheets and bath robes are supplied. Each gites is fully modernised but keeping the original character and features of the 150 year old barn. Free WiFi is available and USB charge points are positioned in the kitchen and on each side of the bed. Outside, guests have a terrace area to have breakfast or to enjoy the sunshine with a drink. A grassed garden area is also available with a barbecue should guests wish to use. In winter a basket of wood logs is supplied for your first night. Further baskets of logs are available at minimal cost. Other things to note We are dog friendly, but expect guests to be responsible and dogs should be on a lead especially if near any farm livestock grazing in the fields.
