Beautifully bijou and charming the Bothy is a delightful hideaway in the New Forest National Park perfect for couples to enjoy a romantic escape Set within the New Forest on a quiet lane this charming holiday cottage is for those who need to envelope themselves in the healing qualities of nature and enjoy some peace in a tranquil setting within an easy driving distance of beaches, Salisbury and Southampton. The space Step inside the Bothy and you will discover a charming open plan space with a delightful wood burner, a well equipped kitchen and cosy dining area. The oak staircase leads to the bedroom with a double bed, luxurious white bedding and throws and is perfect for long lie ins, breakfast in bed and gazing at the stars through the roof window. The kitchen has everything you need to rustle up romantic feasts for 2 including an electric hob and full size oven, a full size fridge, microwave, Smeg kettle and a coffee maker. There's plenty of worktop space to prepare your meals. The bathroom adjoins the bedroom and is perfectly equipped for pampering with a roll top bath big enough for 2 with a flexible handheld shower attachment, fluffy white towels and bath robes. Step outside onto the East facing paved patio area and you will discover a pretty, well kept garden with a table and chairs perfect for 2 to sit outside for breakfast in the sun which rises over this area first thing. You will also find the hot tub always set at the perfect temperature and ready for use with lights to make the experience even more beautiful, ideally situated to be completely private and with a wide view of the stars above. There is off road parking directly in front of the Bothy big enough for one or two cars. The Northern part New Forest here is wilder and less populated than the southern National Park areas. You will see deer, ponies, donkeys and cattle and in autumn, pigs, wandering past the Bothy. I recommend walking from The Bothy at both dawn and dusk – you'll get drenched in Britain's best birdsong from the early morning dawn chorus to the summer evening sounds of the Dartford Warblers, skylarks and Nightjars. Water lovers will want to head to the New Forest Aqua Park, ( SP6 2EY )10 minutes away and Mudeford Quay ( BH23 4AB )- 30 minutes where you can hire kayaks and paddle boards There are several good pubs within walking distance, head to Hockeys farm shop ( SP6 2PW ) or the Potting shed (SP6 2QB )for coffee, cake and light lunches. If you want the coast for a day, drive to Mudeford or Avon beach, both 25 minutes to the south. Guest access When you book the Bothy you have exclusive access to the cottage, parking spaces , garden and the Hot tub. Other things to note I recommend you take out holiday insurance in the event that you are unable to stay due to illness or other issues as this is my livelihood and sole income. There is no stand up shower in the Bothy, the roll top bath has a hand held shower, the ceiling height in the bathroom does not allow us to put in a full size shower.
