This lovely cottage rests on the shore of the beautiful Kauneonga Lake. The newly renovated interior creates a warm and relaxing space to take in the amazing sunset views over the lake. Right next door to Restaurant Row and just a few minutes away from the Historic Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. The cove cottage sits a few feet from Kauneonga lake. The cottage has a nice enclosed porch area with windows that open up to the water, plenty of comfy furniture and small bistro table to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The interior of the cottage is newly furnished with a queen size bed, new pull out sofa couch and a 50 inch flatscreen TV. Between the porch and the interior plenty of space to relax and enjoy the water and a sunset view. As a guest of the cove cottage you will have use of the entire private cottage and surrounding lawn areas. You will also be able to access the floating docks for fishing. Minimal interaction with guests, if required we can have a property manager on site to assist with any issues. Our cleaning service will perform the post rental review. The Town of Bethel was brought to the world's attention in 1969, when nearly 500,000 people gathered at Max Yasgur's Farm for "Three Days of Peace and Music". Our cottage sits on the original Vassmer's General Store property, co-owned and operated by Art Vassmer who earned the designation of "Mr. Woodstock". About three miles from the property is the National Register Historic Site of the 1969 Woodstock festival and the home of the Bethel Center for the Arts. The expansive 800-acre campus includes a Pavilion Stage amphitheater with seating for 15,000, an intimate 440-seat indoor Event Gallery, the award-winning Museum at Bethel Woods, and a Conservatory for creative learning programs. Directly in front of the cottage is, the deepest lake in Sullivan County, Kauneonga Lake, also known as White Lake, a year round sportsman's and vacation paradise. White Lake is well-known for its bass and trout fishing and motor boating. White Lake got its name from the white sand of its beaches, along with its white bottom. Its depth makes it the perfect place for boating, fishing and swimming, though it is just as relaxing to take in the beautiful views from shore Plenty of hiking trails, breweries, restaurants, horseback riding (Rolling Stone Ranch), antique stores, neighboring towns to visit and explore! The area is best explored by car due to the distances required to travel. If coming for a concert or event at Bethel Woods center for the Arts, the cottage is about 3 miles away. Several restaurants and ice cream shop are within walking distance from the cottage. This is a wonderful place to come relax and unwind and explore the Sullivan County area.
