The 3 comfortable, cozy furnished nature cottages (gîtes) of Maison van Stijn are very nice vacation cottages to come to yourself and catch your breath. With lots of untouched nature within reach, a sauna and a river, it is a perfect place to "Recharge". And do you have a dog? He is also very welcome! Parking on private property. Off-grid, wood-fired sauna with wellness deck, 2 cold water baths and shower. Fantastic hiking and biking area. Exclusively for our guests, we have a large number of walks available as GPX files for smartphone or walking GPS (so never get lost again). Detailed description: Connected with Gite du Bois II Gite du Bois I is a cozy, comfortable gite, where it is good to spend time all year round (even during winter sports!). Located on the outskirts of the authentic village of Egliseneuve d'Entraigues in the Puy-de-Dome (Auvergne). Detailed description: Connected with Gite du Bois II, or 2-under-1-roof Ground Floor: Kitchen, Seating Area, Dining Area, 1st Toilet & 1st Terrace: You enter the gite through the built-in kitchen, which is equipped with all the appliances and necessities. Through the kitchen you enter the cozy, spacious sitting and dining area with, among other things, a comfortable 3-seater sofa, 2 armchairs, coffee table, stereo/CD player, DVD player, flat screen TV with satellite connection, modern wood fireplace and a high dining table. Through the French doors you enter the, completely fenced, wooden terrace at the rear - southeast side - of the gite. Due to the location of this terrace, you can enjoy the sun during breakfast. From the terrace, you have a beautiful green, soothing view and you can hear the lapping of the river that flows at the bottom of our property in the background. The terrace is equipped with teak garden furniture. On the ground floor, as well as in the bathroom upstairs, there is a toilet. Floor: 2 Bedrooms & Bathroom with 2nd toilet The fixed, closed staircase leads to the first floor with a double bedroom with a comfortable double bed of 160x200 cm (2 separate mattresses and bases, box springs) and a built-in closet. A bathroom with shower, bathtub, sink, toilet and radiator and a (children's) room with a bunk bed (both mattresses 90 x 200 cm) and storage space. Our beds all have good mattresses and 4 seasonal duvets. 2nd Terrace, Garden & River In addition to the use of both terraces, you can use the entire garden (5000 m2). Guests of Maison van Stijn can reach the private river at the bottom of the property via a "natural" staircase. All year round, including winter sports! The gite is excellently insulated and can be heated well by means of fast-acting electric heating and a modern insert wood-burning fireplace. Both in summer and in winter, the temperature in the gite is therefore very pleasant. Firewood is available on site. You can park your car on our private property, near the gîte. On vacation with the dog Dogs are as welcome with us as their owners. The gîte is located in a fenced garden (shared) and has a fenced private terrace. Of course, your dog can also use the private river on our property. Within walking distance of the gîte, there are 2 waterfalls and a swimming lake for the dog. Your dog can walk (almost) anywhere. There are numerous beautiful walks to take with plenty of shade and cooling. Exclusively for our guests, we have a large number of walks available as GPX files for smartphone or walking GPS. There is also a hiking booklet available in the gîte. Guest access Do you like hiking (possibly with the dog), cycling, winter sports and/or just doing nothing in a beautiful environment? But do you also like to visit picturesque, authentic French villages with their weekly markets, pick terraces and visit castles & other sights? Would you like to spend your well-deserved vacation in a comfortable gite? Then we would like to welcome you! Our Motto: Come to yourself consciously in the green heart of France. Gite du Bois I can be found at the back of our property. You have an unobstructed view of our park-like garden with old beech trees, meter-high spruces and nice borders. In addition to having 2 private terraces, you can use the entire fenced garden (shared). In the background, you can hear the chirping of the birds and the babbling of the river La Rhue that flows at the bottom of our property. This river can be reached from the garden by a natural, adventurous staircase - exclusively for our guests. With a little luck, you will see mice, squirrels and ermine playing in our garden, and it is even possible that you will see a fox or roe deer. If desired (optional), you can use our cozy, off-grid, wood-fired sauna with wellness deck, shower and 2 cold water baths and/or a relaxation massage/hot stone massage in your own gîte.
