Welcome to Truro House 3 bedroom where we bring a little bit of New England to the OBX! Enjoy your beautiful beach getaway in this spacious (1100 sqft +/-) second floor oasis. This property boasts a large backyard, year round brand new hot tub (2025), pool (seasonal) and backs up to the seascape golf links course. It is close to public beach accesses, eateries & entertainment. This private upstairs apartment of our split level home is the perfect place to relax & enjoy your OBX vacation! Multiple discounts can also be applied at one time like a multi-night discount and an early bird discount :) This is a second level 100% private apartment with a private entrance and large deck that is located on a quiet, dead-end street that offers plenty of privacy while still having the luxury of being just a short distance to both the ocean and sound. The outdoor area includes a nice seating area for two to enjoy your morning coffee or a beautiful evening outside while overlooking the pool and hot tub which are shared with the downstairs apartment. Our in-ground pool and hot tub offer a relaxing spot to soak up the sun with a 6 seater dining table, 2 lounge chairs, and another 2-person seating area. The master bedroom has a plush king-sized bed, dresser, closet (Iron and ironing board provided) and attached bathroom with a stand-up shower. The second bedroom also has a king bed and the third has two twin beds. All beds have 12" memory foam mattresses for a relaxing nights sleep (all linens provided). The living room offers a large L shaped sofa and 52” TV with access to Roku TV. You will have your own heating system to control for your comfort. There is a hall bathroom with a shower/ tub combo and a blow dryer are provided. Bathrooms have all linen provided. Finally, the kitchen offers beautiful custom wood cabinets, lots of counter space, full fridge, stove, microwave, and is fully stocked with all cookware and utensils that you need to prepare your meals while enjoying your stay. Your personal Keurig coffee station provides your first day of coffee so you can wake up feeling refreshed :) FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: *Please read as this will answer 99% of your questions. Anything else, just ask! How Far Is The Beach? The ocean public beach access is 3/4 mile from the house. We are lucky to have a light and cross walk so you can either walk or drive to the beach on Eckner Blvd. There are several free parking beach accesses within a 2 minute drive, one being on bleriot st which is the closest to the house. Where Are You Located? Our home is located in Kitty Hawk near mile post 2.5. Is There A Grill? Unfortunately No. The Outer Banks can often times be windy and each year many people on the beach lose their homes due to grill related house fires. For this reason and safety reasons we do not have a grill at our home :( What Complimentary Items Are Included? - 1 roll of paper towels - 1 roll of toilet paper per bath - 1 bag per trash can - Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil - 6 K Cups - Some cream and sugar - Shampoo - Conditioner - Body Wash - Hand Soap - Dish Soap and Sponge - Blow Dryer - Ironing Board and Iron Anything else you may need outside of the complimentary items provided will need to be brought by the guest. What Linens Are Included? - All bed linen - 6 Bath Towels - 6 Washcloths - 1 Hand Towel per bathroom - 1 Kitchen Hand Towel - 1 Bath Mat per bathroom (We do not provide beach or pool towels. Also please note there is not a washer and dryer at this location.) What Should We Bring? - Pool and Beach Towels - Additional coffee, paper and plastic products that you may need - Any additional items you may need that we do not provide When is the Pool and Hot Tub open and who can use it? The Hot Tub is open year-round. The pool is open from April 15 - October 15th. There is a fee included as part of your cleaning fee to cover spa and pool cleaning. We have a local company that cleans and adjusts the chemicals twice a week. The pool, hot tub and backyard are shared with the downstairs apartment. The pool is not heated. The facilities are only available to guests staying at this property. Do You Offer Early Check-in Or Late Check Out? Unfortunately, no. Check-in is any time after 4:00 PM. Our cleaners do not provide us with a scheduled time that they clean our house and in exchange, provide a lower cleaning rate. Because of this we are unable to guarantee any early check-ins, however, our cleaners always do their best to get finished early. Check Out is at 10:00 AM. Due to the same reason, we are unable to accommodate any late check outs. In addition our cleaners do charge infraction fees if they need to wait on guests to leave past 10:00 AM. Do you offer cable TV? No, we offer Roku TV. Additionally, there are many applications on the smart TV allowing you to sign into your own accounts. We also provide a DVD player. The primary bedroom TV has an HDMI chord, to connect to a laptop or personal device. How Many Apartments Are On This property? There are two completely separate and private apartments in our duplex style home. This specific listing is for our 3 bedroom upstairs apartment. We also rent this unit out as a 1 bedroom apartment on a separate listing but never at the same time. The downstairs single bedroom apartment is also for rent on Airbnb. If you click on my profile picture, you can view the listing under Brewster House. How Old Do I Have To Be To Rent This Property? 25+ is welcome to book. Please note that this is not a property that allows party’s or extra guests that are not on the reservation and make sure to read through all house rules before booking. Can COVID-19 Spread Through A Swimming Pool? Directly from the CDC... “There is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can spread directly to humans from water in pools, hot tubs or spas, or water play areas. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (for example, with chlorine or bromine) of pools, hot tubs or spas, and water playgrounds should kill the virus that causes COVID-19.” Do You Have Any Additional Info On How COVID-19 Will Impact Our Stay? Guest access You will have access to your second-floor apartment with private entrance which includes the fabulous kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom, two additional bedrooms, hall bathroom, dining room, and living room. It is short distance to the public beach access (3/4 mile) where there is also parking, public restrooms, showers and a lifeguard station. The lower apartment is completely separate and both units are 100% private. The ground floor apartment is also available for rent on Airbnb. It is a one bedroom one bath 650 sqft apartment. Just check out my profile page to view the downstairs apartment details under Pied-à-terre :) We also have an outdoor shower to allow you to rinse off after a day at the beach and tiki hut containing four beach chairs and umbrella (provided in the as-is condition) that you can access. You will have a designated side of the driveway which you can park up to three sedans or two SUV’s and one sedan. The outdoor shower, tiki hut, pool, and the driveway are the only shared areas. Our home is located in Kitty Hawk near mile post 2.5 and boasts an in-ground pool and deck overlooking a golf course.
