A number of sandy beaches are a short drive away with the nearest being Spartia which also has a good fish taverna with views across to Zante. For those looking for some nightlife or shopping, Argostoli the capital of Kefalonia is a 15 minute drive away. Here you could also take lunch on one of the many waterfront taverna's and watch the loggerhead turtles swim by.
