The romantic studio apartment in the country house is located in Menzlin. The quiet village is 2 km from the Peene, the "Amazon of the North." From here you can go hiking, boating, paddling or cycling in the wild nature of the Peeneurstrom Valley and the Viking settlement "Altes Lager Menzlin." The Baltic Sea island of Usedom and the beach are 30 km away. Anklam and Greifswald are the nearest cities and are worth a visit. The space The apartment is very quietly located in an old farmhouse. It has an extra entrance, Wi-Fi and a shared covered terrace as well as a separate terrace in the garden. There is a large room with kitchenette and living area, a small bathroom with shower and a separate cozy sleeping niche with a 1.60 m wide double bed. The sleeping niche is located in a sloping attic and therefore does not have complete headroom. You can't stand in the sleeping niche. Towels and linens are included. From the village of Menzlin you can walk to the Peene, "the Amazon of the North" in 15 minutes. Here, visitors can expect a wild river landscape in the Peenetal Nature Reserve with peat cuts, river valley moors and quarry forests. You can use the boat rental at the canal harbor to explore nature from the river (paddle boats or raft). In addition, you can see the "Alte Lager" Menzlin as an important archaeological site of the 9th and 10th centuries as a Viking and Slavic trading post - with graves. The small Hanseatic town of Anklam is 9 km away and is well worth a trip. Otto Lilienthal was born here and the Lilienthal Museum and the Anklam Museum of Local History offer interesting insights into the history of the area. If you want to go to the Baltic Sea coast, you can do this as a day trip, as the island of Usedom is only 20 km away. It is about 40 km to the beaches of the Kaiserbäder. Guest access Access to the apartment is separate, but is via a shared terrace. Climbing stairs is required. A dog can run freely in the garden if it gets along with our Dachshund lady Lilly. Other things to note In the village you can enjoy the rural idyll. If you like to be outside in the evening and want to barbecue, you can also use the fire pit. The nearest shopping facilities are about 9 km away in Anklam.
