Contemporary Lodge with Hot Tub - Oak Lodge
Contemporary Lodge with Hot Tub - Oak Lodge
Description
Relax in the new hot tub on the south-facing sun-deck while enjoying the privacy of your own secluded garden. Roll back the bi-fold doors as you lounge inside the shade of the lodge having discovered the local villages and country lanes. We only have four of these hand-built lodges within the grounds of our country home, and they are special buildings for our special guests, many of whom return, for a memorable stay. 3 nights min. The space Your own place to chill in the heart of East Anglia, close to the attractive town of Bury St Edmunds. Designed by us to give our guests everything they need for a relaxing break, Oak Lodge at Upthorpe Lodges is one of four in a countryside location in its own private garden. We are in one of the UK's driest areas, and the sun deck has a gas bbq, sunloungers and dining table. If you really want to let the outside in, just roll back the bi-fold doors and enjoy! Note: This lodge now has a hot tub! Contemporary and funky, rural and peaceful, our lodge lets the sun pour in whilst the underfloor heating ensures comfort throughout the year. The kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher, full-size oven, and washing machine. Enjoy the large shower, the bedroom TV, and wake up overlooking the garden through the glazed bedroom doors. There is a Smart TV in the living room with Netflix included. The paved path from the car-park ensures same level entrance and exit from car to entrance door. Keys are kept in a coded locker to allow anytime arrival (after 4pm) and departure (before 10am). The car-park is off-road and is well lit for arrivals after dark. We prefer to allow guests complete independence whilst they enjoy our lodge, but we are always available if required, by text, phone or email. We live very close by in the neighbouring property. Why choose our location? Well it's bang in the middle of East Anglia, which we think is great for its wide landscapes, wild coasts and rural countryside. We could also mention the great little market towns nearby and the increasingly popular larger town of Bury St Edmunds. An hour's drive can take you to the small but fascinating and lively cities of Cambridge and Norwich, or Constable Country, the 'wool towns' or the coast. Getting here by public transport can be a bit tricky, but it can be done and we'll be happy to advise. Alternatively, bring your car, park it up, and explore on foot or borrow our two bikes! There's an extensive network of public footpaths and bridleways on our doorstep. There are many popular places to visit nearby; Banham Zoo, Wyken Vineyards, Go Ape, Thetford Forest, Cambridge, Norwich, and the Suffolk Heritage Coast to name just a few. Our page links to several local places, restaurants and attractions which can be enjoyed. We also have three other lodges, all with Hot tubs included in the price too - just enquire if interested. Guest access There is a short concrete path from the car park to your lodge. Each lodge has its own garden gate entrance, and sits in its own private garden. Other things to note We ask all our guests to respect each other's needs for peace and quiet. All our lodges are booked singularly. Sorry, but if you are looking for accommodation for hen or stag parties we are not the place for you.
