2nd floor-Humber Bay Room

A very quiet 2nd floor room with a bay window that faces the front yard and the setting sun. The house is a 4 minute walk from the boardwalk on Sunnyside Beach on Lake Ontario, a 3 minute walk to High Park and a 7 minute walk to the popular, eclectic and laid back area of Roncesvalles Village with shops, restaurants, cafe's and bars with live music, a 24 hour gym, and the oldest movie theatre in Toronto, The Revue Cinema. The space A 3 storey home in the old, heavily treed, west end of Toronto area known as High Park/Roncesvalles Village/Sunnyside. We are 15 doors away from the Emergency entrance of St Joseph's Health Centre, one of the most advanced and well-equipped hospitals in Toronto, so it is considered to be generally a very safe neighbourhood. Guest access Airbnb spaces in our home include; an outdoor front porch, front hall, living room, dining room, kitchen, a bathroom, as well as an outdoor backyard deck and patio on the ground floor (1st floor), 2 Airbnb rooms on the 2nd floor, and 2 Airbnb rooms and another bathroom on the 3rd floor. There is also a flight of stairs from the sidewalk up to the front entrance. We apologize that our Airbnb is unfortunately not able to be made wheelchair accessible. During your stay Quiet times are from 10pm to 9am. The following spaces are shared with other house guests and the hosts: The ground floor front foyer, kitchen, living room and dining room, 3pc bathroom on the ground floor, and another 3pc bathroom on the 3rd floor, the outdoor front porch and the backyard deck & patio. You may encounter other guests, which we are happy to say are good people who come with great reviews. Other things to note Parking – If you’re going to be parked here regularly during the day or overnight it is advised to purchase a temporary on-street parking permit, which are simple to get and can be purchased and printed out online at a cost of $19.75 for 24 hours, $28.55 for 48 hours and $42.81 for one week, plus tax. You can get one yourself and bring it with you, or we can apply for and print it here when you arrive. You’ll find all the information and costs by searching “Toronto Temporary On-Street Parking”. Overnight parking (12 midnight-10:00am in our area) requires a temporary on-street parking permit and there is usually a space available somewhere close to the house, but if you can only find space a number of doors away your car should be ok as our area is considered generally safe. Parking on the street is free from 6pm-midnight and for one hour from 10am-6pm. *Free parking option If you don’t want to buy a permit you can park overnight for free on Roncesvalles Ave (a very nice short walk through the neighbourhood), from 9pm-8am Monday-Saturday, and is extended to 1pm on Sundays and Holidays. Parking on Roncesvalles at all other times is paid through the Pay-n-Display machines along the sidewalks and/or Green P app which is the city's user-friendly parking payment app for parking on commercial streets and in city run Green P parking lots.
