The Wash House - Hebden Bridge

The Wash House is no longer available for bookings. ————- This newly renovated 18c. Wash House is uniquely situated on the Rochdale canal; a few minutes walk from the heart of historic Hebden Bridge. Sleeping four people over two double bedrooms, the Wash House offers you modern conveniences in a character cottage and a simply stunning location. The space Newly renovated 18c. former Wash House. Fully serviced including towels and linen. Galley kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, microwave, electric cooker and hob. Lounge with cosy wood burning stove, TV/DVD and Bluetooth stereo. Shower room with toilet and basin. Two double bedrooms with Bluetooth stereo, hairdryer, hanging and draw space and a dressing table. Free Wi-Fi (but being at the bottom of a valley, this can be a little temperamental!) We welcome one well-behaved dog per stay. There is stepped access both to and throughout the cottage. Guest access The Wash House is accessed via its own front door. The accommodation is completely self-contained with a lovely canal-side garden for guests to enjoy. With a maximum speed of 4mph the pace of canal side life is certainly leisurely. From your private garden you can enjoy the passing narrow boats while you have your morning coffee and admire the sun setting over the valley each evening. Other things to note Welcome - Upon arrival, we like to welcome you with a few of Yorkshire's most delicious treats, so let us know if anyone in your party has any specific dietary requirements we should be mindful of so that everyone's needs are covered. Washing service - There isn’t a washing machine in the cottage, but we offer a full wash / dry service at additional cost upon request. Parking - There is no designated parking at The Wash House (Hebden Bridge was built before the invention of cars!) You can however park to unload, before moving your car to one of the many nearby parking options. There is an excellent train service and Hebden Bridge Station is only 3 minutes walk away. We have lovely flagstone floors, but these can be a little chilly underfoot. For your own comfort we recommend that you bring your slippers!
