Sitting on the edge of the Peak District, a stone’s throw from open fields, woodland and moors - sits a 19th Century cosy mill worker’s cottage. Two pubs and a shop are within easy walking distance and Chatsworth House is a beautiful 7 mile wander over the hill. Marvel at the lovely centuries old tree slice, coffee table and huge slice of elm breakfast bar, enjoy chopping boards, pottery and soft furnishings from the local artisans - just some of the magic the Peak District has to offer. The space Sole use of the whole house and paved rear garden. Upstairs the master bedroom comprises of double bed with village view across to the hills. The Cabin room is a snug space with double bed wall to wall, inspired by a mountain hideaway, perfect while exploring the Peaks. A decent size bathroom serves both these rooms. Through the front door, the sitting room can accommodate 5 people comfortably. The sofa can serve as an extra bed or a portable deep filled air bed is available to accommodate a 5th guest or to provide flexibility in the sleeping arrangements. A hand made breakfast bar and coffee corner are situated on one side of the kitchen, with full cooking appliances (oven, stove top and microwave) filling the other. From the heart of the house, an extra space is created in the form of a conservatory, perfect for morning tea and coffee or evening meal with option to switch on the fire if the temperature drops. There is also a downstairs toilet and basin to reduce the queues for ablutions! A small garden patio area with table and chairs lets the morning in, and enables the outdoor environment to be enjoyed throughout the year. Guest access Guests have full access to the whole cottage, front and rear gardens. Parking is generally available immediately outside the cottage, the lane further along is also unrestricted parking. Access straight onto the moors, woodlands, streams, pub and restaurant straight from the cottage door. Other things to note Wasp Nest Cottage is a 200 year old cottage, with a historical background of being a home to mill workers and busy families over the years. It has quirky details, steep original staircase and a cosy homeliness from many years of being a home.
