The space Studio-W is in our newly built Guesthouse that has 2 studios, W and E. The studio is rather small, 25 sqm, suits 2 persons. It is well designed with double bed, sofa, dining table and kitchenette in the main room and a separate bathroom with a shower. The guesthouse is well insulated and has central floor heating. All requierd safety features like smoke detector, fire blanket and fire extinguisher. Free Wifi. The patio is facing north. There guests can sit down viewing the neighborhood, the water and Akureyri. The entrance is facing the parking. The entrance hall has washer and dryer and is shared with the guests in the other studio. As said the view is very nice towards the water and Akureyri sometimes spiced with bright nights and sunset during the summer and the northern lights during the winter. The guests can enjoy the scenery even more from the HOT TUB placed next to the main house 25 m from the Guesthouse. The tub is shared. The property, Solheimar 9, is located in Svalbardsstrond an 8 minutes drive outside the town Akureyri by road 83. Solheimar 9 is not a farm but stands by a small gravel road with few private houses (some in building process), close to the see shore. The property Solheimar 9, was built in the year 2001 by us Bergthora and Starri. Since our children left the nest some years ago we decided to offer the two extra rooms downstairs in our house to travelers. The year 2017 we decided to expand and built the Guesthouse with two studios, next to our home. Guest access The Guesthouse stands next to our home and a parking for us and the guests next to the houses. There are two studios in the Guesthouse E and W. Guests enter the Guesthouse directly from the parking and the entrance hall with a washer and dryer is shared. Two separate doors leads to each studio compleatly private (bedroom, diningroom, kitchenette and bathroom. The Guesthouse patio is not completly private but separated. The hot pot is placed 25 m from the Guesthouse on the seaside next to the main house. Guests have access to the hot tub upon request and is shared.
