Spacious! Light & Lovely Chateau

This airy vintage home on the outskirts of the quaint town of Mansfield. The dream living room has a dramatic two story wall of windows! We normally ask for two nights- however, if you need one night ask & you can possibly snag this lovely place for one night! Light & Lovely Chateau is close to all of the favorite destinations in the northern tier of Pennsylvania including Mansfield University. We try to ensure guests have a wonderful experience! The space Lovely! Filled with light! Nice views from wall of windows. Don’t miss the reviews left by our guests! Full kitchen is large and airy. There is a generous in kitchen table and nice dining table. Cook your own meals, pack a lunch or entertain dinner guests! Or, enjoy excellent local fare. Vintage chalet has a modern bath with tub and shower. The main bedroom, with a FIRM queen bed, is on the first floor with the kitchen and living room. The home is split level, the second bedroom is downstairs. The second bedroom has a queenu bed. Smart TV, limited cable and DVD. NOTE! You have an entire unit. However, in the BASEMENT, below the kitchen and living room is a totally separate, very small apartment that is often occupied by an Airbnb guest. THE AIRBNBs HAVE SEPARATE ENTRANCES AND NO SHARED LIVING SPACES. The fireplace and the electric piano are decorative & cannot be utilized. Sorry. House sits on secluded wooded lot at edge of town on knoll. Note: You must go slowly up the drive. We’re always dealing with rain damage that occurs during heavy storms... so far, we have only been able to keep it under control with two diversion channels across the driveway. These cause bumps. My Prius takes them fine by going slow. Set up for your comfort; lived in enough that your kids will be comfortable, too! The blue futon in the photo has been replaced with a beautiful sofa! There are two nice sofas if you need us to accommodate additional guest(s) & they don’t mind couch surfing. We try to be very accurate in our listing. This is located in beautiful Northern Tier Pennsylvania, minutes from so many things to see and do. - 4 minutes from downtown Mansfield where you can visit quaint shops, Mansfield University or get a great cappuccino. - 20 Minutes from recreational destinations such as Hills Creek State Park and the Tioga Hammond Dam Park. - 20 Minutes from picturesque downtown Wellsboro where you can enjoy the famous winter Dickens of a Christmas or the summer Laurel Festival or see a movie. - 35 Minutes from the famous Corning Glass Museum. - 40 Minutes from Williamsport where you can enjoy the Little League World Series and museum and even a riverboat cruise or dinner cruise. - 40 Minutes from the PA Grand Canyon with its breathtaking views and incredible hiking trails.
