Welcome to Meadowbrook House in Broughton, Hampshire! The Annexe offers stunning décor in a beautiful setting in this typical country village - quiet and relaxing, but a mere 5 minute walk to all the village amenities. Perfectly positioned for walking the Clarendon Way (Broughton is the mid point) Also access to the Test Way (which goes through Stockbridge / Houghton, a 45 min walk away) and King Alfred’s Way cycle route. The space Recently completely renovated and professionally styled and decorated, The Annexe is a sumptuous private hideaway next to the main house. The Annexe has two double bedrooms sleeping up to 4 guests with it's own private entrance and is completely self contained from the main house. It has a bathroom upstairs, a downstairs cloakroom and in the downstairs hall there is a gorgeous Smeg fridge providing milk, cold water and ice, plus microwave,toaster and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, along with crockery, glasses and cutlery. The Annexe is rented on a room only basis, for an extra charge we can organise a continental breakfast hamper from our amazing village shop, which includes plenty of local produce. Please let us know if you are interested in this option. Please note, there is not a full kitchen set up, most guests go to the local pub or one of the local restaurants in the evening, alternatively they can arrange to get food delivered (plates, cutlery etc are provided here). If the weather is kind there is an outdoor table and chairs available overlooking the 2 acres of The Meadow, where you can taking your time to relax before you start the day. The modern bathroom has both bath and shower facilities, all towels are provided, along with shower gel and other essentials. Please note the annexe is just bedrooms, bathroom and facilities as noted above. There is no proper kitchen or lounge space or television, it is more suited to a comfy stopover than a destination stay. Offering beautiful views from the bedroom, the setting at The Meadow is idyllic. You can walk some of the grounds, have a drink on your own table and chairs overlooking The Meadow or have breakfast on the patio. Our guests always say one of their highlights is to feed our adorable ducks, Thunder, Clarence, Wi-Fi, Jester and Goose their breakfast by the lake!! We can recommend local venues for evening meals - the easiest option is the local pub The Greyhound which is only a 5 min walk away, we recommend booking ahead, We can also recommend local taxis if you want to go slightly further afield. If you’re happy to drive there are some fabulous places in Stockbridge ( 5 mins away) including the well known Greyhound on The Test. The annexe is totally yours when you book as a party of 1, 2 , 3 or 4 - so you will only be sharing the accommodation with your own party. For parties of more than 2 guests we do charge a small supplement for the 3rd and 4th person of £20/head. NB: Please advise any food intolerances A bottle of TMG's Favourite Wine, £15.00 A bottle of one of our favourite red or white wines, waiting for you in your unit when you arrive. Prosecco & Chocolate Truffles, £20.00 A bottle of our favourite prosecco and a box of chocolate truffles, waiting for you in your unit when you arrive. Guest access The annexe has its own private entrance, one bathroom and one downstairs cloakroom, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. There are two fantastic double rooms in the annexe (Diamond Jackie’s & Rosalita’s); if you book one of the rooms the other will be blocked so you will always have exclusive use of the annexe - so you can book one or two rooms depending on your party size, but you will always have the annexe to yourselves. Other things to note The rate is room only, a continental breakfast hamper with local products can be arranged in advance for a small extra charge. Please message if this is of interest.
