Watlington apartment, ideal for Oxford and Henley

Pineapple Apartment is on the first and second floors of a unique 16th century house in the centre of Watlington. There is even a view of Watlington Hill from the top rooms. We are 10 minutes walk from the Icknield Way (AKA Ridgeway National Trail) and the National Trust's Watlington Hill. There are so many fine walks in the Chiltern Hills. Henley on Thames, Oxford, Thame and Wallingford are all about 20 minutes drive away. We are about an hour from central London, out of rush hours. The space The low doorways, ancient beams and welcoming decor make this a very happy place to come to, relax and re-charge. Take a step back in to history, but with today's comforts here. We always welcome questions from potential guests. Guest access The apartment in accessed from Couching Street (B4009) and is clearly marked. Follow the 'Pineapples'. It consists of ground floor entrance plus 1st and 2nd floors. Please respect our neighbours, as the joint access passage has private doors to their house and their courtyard garden. Other things to note Pineapple apartment is in a cosy 16th building. This means low door openings and many exposed beams. My feeling is that the apartment is not ideal for children under the age of four years old. We love this house and expect guests will understand why, once they have experienced a stay here. Please note that there is a microwave oven, and other basics such toaster/kettle/fridge in the breakfast room but not a regular oven or hob. Do ask us if you have any questions.
