With Christmas trees decorated and lit, all you need to do is invite your special people, bring some presents, and pick up food and treats in town and you will be set for a wonderful no-fuss Christmas at this very special place. You can even order a traditional Christmas dinner from your choice of several resort restaurants nearby! Pamper yourself in the sizeable bathrooms with in-floor heating, tiled counters and showers, including a deep soaker bathtub in the master suite (hair dryer provided). We're pleased to provide locally sourced all-natural shampoo and body wash, as well as ultra-soft waffle weave cotton robes (2). Create your favourite meals in the full-size gourmet kitchen complete with granite counters, island/bar, and stainless steel appliances (side by side fridge/freezer with water/ice maker, gas range with electric convection oven and microwave). Dine and relax in a beautiful park-like setting on the ocean-facing outdoor patio, complete with new natural gas BBQ, dining table for 6 and luxurious outdoor furniture. Watch your favourite shows on our new 50" TV or surf online in the comfy living room featuring gleaming Beech hardwood floors, leather furniture, 9-foot ceilings, and gas fireplace. Wifi Internet, a landline for local calls, TV, DVD, puzzles, games, and a few select novels; as well as a washer/dryer/hair dryer are provided for your convenience. Pack up our collapsible wagon with provided lawn chairs and beach towels and head to Rathtrevor beach, a short walk down the property's paved road (slight decline). We take great pride in offering you, our guests, this luxurious accommodation. We're pleased to report in March 2021, our townhouse interior has just been freshly painted and we've upgraded the master bedroom with new furnishings and a king bed. We hope you will also enjoy some new quality wood pieces of west coast "live edge" and Douglas fir, and a selection of new framed giclee art created by a leading photographer here on the Island. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire townhouse. The owner's storage room is locked and not available for guest access.There is also a locked deck storage box with beach chairs, a collapsible wagon, sand toys, and more. Other things to note The townhouse is a short 3 minute walk down the paved road (slight hill) to the beach. Beach Acres resort's The Black Goose Inn English Pub-style Restaurant is right next door (2 minute walk). Try their fish and chips - delicious! Just down the road within walking distance is Western Canada's voted #1 spa - "The Grotto Spa" at Tigh Na Mara Resort. Check out their mineral pool experience, great restaurant and for spa goers, an option to enjoy their treehouse endless tapas experience ~ a great gift idea for your wife, Mom, or daughter(s). Book early as the appointments over the holidays will fill up quickly. Also a short walk away is Riptide Lagoon Adventures, offering miniature golf and other fun activities - great for all ages (closes for the season end of October). Its a very short drive in to downtown Parksville for shopping and dining, and about 20 minutes away from Nanaimo's Costco and other big box stores. You can even take a whale-watching tour from Nanaimo! "Eat Fresh" grocers in Parksville has the most incredible bakery items for sale - try their carrot cake or black forest cake - scrumptious (and sold by the piece). Hop in the car and go for a short drive to Cathedral Grove old growth forest walk, experience the world famous "Goats on the Roof" at the Coombs Market, and in the summer stay for lunch at Cuckoo's Trattoria & Pizzeria- unforgettable day trip... great shopping and food! The Crow and Gate, just south of Nanaimo is another fabulous pub with great food! Take a drive through the coastal communities to enjoy their beautiful Christmas lights (e.g. Ladysmith and Duncan).
