Woodland Cottage

2BR/1BA One level cottage located on 8.5 acres surrounded by trees. Wi-Fi Internet w/ streaming services, 65" Smart TV, Netflix, Hulu, books & board games are provided: Tea, coffee & coffee maker are supplied. There is no cleaning fee, so please be clean & tidy up after yourselves. Woodland Cottage is kept fresh & clean; accommodates up to 6 people comfortably. We welcome everyone from all walks of life. We are 8 minutes from I-26 & 15 minutes from I-81 (via the I-26). The space Our guests often wake up to bird song, see white-tail deer and rabbits at twilight, and the stars at night. In the summertime, listen to the drone of cicadas by day and the rhythm of the katydids in the evening. Just off the kitchen, there is a large, covered patio to sit and enjoy the outdoor environment. Outside the large dining room window is a bird feeder that attracts many varieties of birds. There is a large yard that is surrounded by trees on all sides. If you are lucky, you will get to experience a spectacular Tennessee summer thunderstorm. The house is decorated as a country cottage and has much of Juanita's artwork on display. These art pieces are for sale, including original cards and bookmarks that are located on the writing desk in the den. Guest access Guests will have full access to the entire cottage. *NOTICE: Your host has medical allergies to animal dander and requests that no animals be brought into the cottage for health reasons. Other things to note Woodland Cottage is about 10 minutes from the Meadowview Convention Center. It is approximately 30-40 minutes to Bristol Motor Speedway, East Tennessee State University, Bristol, Johnson City, Rogersville and Historic Jonesborough, as well as Tri-City Regional airport. Woodland Cottage is just 45 minutes from hiking the Appalachian Trail, Devil’s Bathtub or whitewater rafting on the Nolichucky River. The Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, and Asheville are close enough for an easy day trip. A small charcoal grill is available upon request (you provide the charcoal). Woodland Cottage feels secluded and is surrounded by trees yet it is only a 5-minute drive from grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, restaurants, coin laundries, etc.
