The Hayloft - Beautiful Romantic retreat for 2

The Hayloft is part of a lovely Georgian farmstead set in lush arable countryside .Its oak beams and pretty interior make it a popular holiday destination.The elegant spa town of Harrogate is close as well as the medieval city of York. The space The Hayloft, is on our Georgian farmstead, and has its own private entrance.The Hayloft overlooks the large pond and paddocks, so that our own animals , ducks , sheep and donkeys can be seen as well as the wildlife that regular visits and included herons, canada geese,hedgehogs,owls and once a year some young roe deer in search of food.The hayloft provides a peaceful retreat, all year round.Step into the sitting room and you will be surrounded by atmosphere and comfort.During the day the sun streams through the double doors. Upstairs is the lovely oak beamed double bedroom, and shower room leading off from the bedroom. In the summer, the gardens can be enjoyed,and in the winter snuggle up around the cosy fire. The hayloft has been completely refurbished in November 2017, with new kitchen and shower room, cotton sheets and duvets,and towels. The hayloft is well equipped for eating in and you will find it a joy to prepare meals and to dine at the antique pine table with views over the pond and paddocks.There is a dishwasher and fridge with small freezer. Or you can dine out at one of the many cosy local village pubs ; visit the elegant spa town of Harrogate; see the historic city of York;enjoy a day at Fountains Abbey and deer park.The living area has a comfy 2 seater sofa and a top range electric stove with real effect flames, with an oak shelf over which is a flat screen wall mounted TV . We are at the gateway to the Yorkshire dales and great walking can be done either from the farm or a short car trip.Our visitors book has lots of ideas for days out.We are pet friendly but please see the house rules for extra charges. Guest access The Hayloft has its own entrance and is separate from the main farm house. We created a private south facing garden in the early Spring of 2018 overlooking the paddocks and pond, for guest to sit out and enjoy the late afternoon and evening sun. Other things to note We accept one well behaved pet .We provide pet guards to the stairs( which are also baby stair guards), as well as dog throws and towels for muddy paws. For babies we have a travel cot( no bedding),high chair and baby bath ( please ask if you need these.)
