It is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and also lies within an easy drive of North Yorkshire Moors. With very easy access from major motorway routes, the cottage is easily found in the small village of Patrick Brompton. Perfect for couples, this is the ideal destination for a quiet romantic break. There is a local pub serving superb food just a couple of minutes away, making this a great place to spend an anniversary, birthday or special occasion. Lovingly renovated and restored to a fantastic standard, Wren Cottage is packed full of character and charm with many original features, yet offers guests modern amenities and facilities too. The ground floor offers a very well-presented lounge with exposed beams, wooden floor and a multi fuel stove in the inglenook fireplace. The kitchen is compact yet well-equipped, and leads out on to a small courtyard area with outdoor seating and table. On the first floor guests will find a small single bedroom suitable for a child, as well as a master bedroom with exposed original beams and tasteful décor. The bathroom also has quality fixtures and fittings. To the rear of the property there is a fabulous, well-maintained enclosed garden offering another private sitting area from which guests will be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the tranquil surroundings. Ideal for guests of all ages including couples, cyclists, walkers and ramblers, Wren Cottage is located in the peaceful village of Patrick Brompton where there are many established public footpaths and cycle paths, leading right through some of the most picturesque countryside that North Yorkshire has to offer. Only six miles away from the popular market town of Leyburn, you can visit the chocolate factory, Tennants Auction House, as well as perusing the local shops, weekly farmers market and relaxing in one of the many cafes, restaurants and pubs that are located around the town square. In the other direction and only eight miles away, you can visit the historic Georgian town of Richmond, with many attractions including Richmond Castle, theatre, river walks and a town centre bursting with activity. A little further afield is the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, where you are surrounded by magnificent countryside and scenery. The famous racehorse town of Middleham is eight miles from Patrick Brompton and is steeped in history being the birthplace of Richard III. Guests who visit Middleham are often treated to the glorious sight of thoroughbred horses being led through the town up on to the gallops in the fields just outside. A haven for walkers and cyclists, the area is extremely popular all year round and offers fabulous views across hills and dales, as well as majestic waterfalls like nearby Aysgarth Falls and Ingleton Falls. Visit the traditional Yorkshire villages of Reeth, Gunnerside and Muker. Durham, Barnard Castle, York, Harrogate, Ripon and Masham can be reached within an hour.
