The Ducal town of Alnwick is only a ten minute drive, where a visit to the castle used in Harry Potter should not be missed. Alnwick has a fine mix of eateries, pubs and shops with a weekly market. Rothbury and Morpeth are only 15 minutes away, both with plenty of shops and cafes. Clay pigeon shooting is half a mile away. Fishing on the River Coquet is 1½ miles away and Bockenfield Light Aircraft can be found 1 mile away. The Hide is a central homely base for exploring the many visitor attractions in what is reputedly the friendliest county in England. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub ½ mile.
