Please NOTE we don't share you with strangers in the house, it is all yours. It's home!. Welcome. The space Unlike most out there Lamanis Haven has been Inspected, registered and licensed by the County government and KTRA (Kenya Tourism Regulatory Authority) fit for purpose of accommodation as a serviced bungalow for both local and international guests. We are law abiding and have fulfilled legal requirements for the comfort of our esteemed guests and smooth running of our operations. We have a beautiful facility with gorgeous picturesque views, a glimpse of Kakamega forest that comes with fresh of clean natural air. The space has ample secure parking and serene relaxing environment. The house accommodates up to six guests and arrangements can be made to accommodate large groups. We have a spacious kitchen for self-catering purposes fully fitted with cabinets, fridge and other kitchen accessories.(with prior notice cooking/chef services can be offered at an extra cost). Lamanis Haven has three bedrooms fitted with beds, the master bedroom is ensuite and it has a king-size bed, wall cabinets, dressing table, half moon lights among others. The wash room has a bidet, toilet, sink, hot-shower and a bath-tub. The other two bedrooms have have each two single beds (which can be combined to make a king-bed for each room) with wall cabinets and share a washroom. The lounge has comfortable sofa-sets, seating 7, with a beautiful fireplace from the lounge one gets the spectacle views. The dinning room is attached to the lounge with a door to the kitchen it has a 6 seater comfortable eating area. Our facility is built uniquely with large windows for natural air and sunlight, all rooms are naturally well lite and freshly ventilated. We have front and back porch areas for guests to relax, early morning raisers have a golden opportunity at the front porch to view the beautiful sunrise and watch chirping birds over flying the property every morning. Lamanis haven is in a big gated compound that can hold functions and meetings, with ample secure parking and good grounds for children to play around. Our space for functions can hold up to 500 people. The serene tranquil environment offers tourists, honeymooners, family, groups, retreats, academicians, researchers and business travelers an opportunity to read, relax, enjoy and easily blend with the natural environment without being in a game/forest reserve and being away from the hustle and noisy town, this is naturally homely, it is home! We are conveniently located approximately 600metres away from the busy and noisy Kakamega-Webuye highway for privacy, peace and tranquility. In general, we are within easy distance (less than 10 minutes drive) to the CBD major shopping centers, banks, cafes and hospitals of Kakamega town. Guest access Guests have access to books on Luyia culture and others, a fire-place within the house, large garden, porch, lounge, spacious Kitchen with utensils, dining area, ample parking, washing machine, Iron box and board, hair-dryer, mosquito nets and racket, treadmill and Golf sticks with bag. Other things to note Kakamega county the second most populated after Nairobi county is well known for the crying-stone, bull-fighting, Kakamega forest and bird-watching. Our central location between Buyangu and Shinyalu sides of kakamege forest makes it easy for forest tourists/researchers to plan their activities between the two sides of the forests. To sports lovers, we are just about 10 minutes drive to Bukhungu stadium, Kakamega Golf and tennis club and local gyms. Due to the forest, Kakamega county and its environs recieves lots of heavy rains mostly in the afternoons, this could be accompanied by lighten and thunder. The terrain takes in all the rain waters within minutes it doesn't flood but power black-outs are a common thing, however, at Lamanis Haven we do have a generator power back-up.
