Unique Vermont experience. Private suite in old Creamery. 1 minute drive (880 yards) to Harveys Lake. General store next door. Relax, BBQ by the river in back yard. Private entrance. 2 bedrooms (1 twin, 1 queen), bathroom, microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, desk, bureau, dining table, closet. (Please note the person in the twin bed will need to walk through the large bedroom to access the bathroom.) Similar to hotel Suite, PLEASE see photos and detailed description. Unique Vermont experience. Private suite in old Creamery. Five min walk to Harveys Lake. Relax or grille in the backyard by the river. Private entrance. Two bedrooms (1 twin,1 queen). Private bathroom with shower. Kitchenette (cooking limited to an electric skillet and crockpot) with sink, counter, 5 cubic foot refrigerator, microwave, electric tea kettle, toaster, Keurig coffee maker. General store right next door, has breakfast sandwiches, deli, lunch specials and dinners too. COVID update: We are very careful and have an ozone machine which helps clear the air and surfaces. We are thorough and follow protocols. Clean, private and convenient. This tastefully decorated unit can comfortably sleep 2 to 3 people. Perfect for someone seeking an alternative to the motel experience and more private than a BnB. This separate unit is contained within the old creamery in West Barnet village. Our home is separate. Your space is kind of like an suite at a motel, situated inside of an old Vermont creamery. Relax by our gardens and the river right in our back yard. Overall a great location to enjoy all that the northeast kingdom has to offer; nature, hiking, exploring, kayaking, biking, museums, and the many annual festivals. Perfect for the Peacham acoustic music festival, the Northeast Kingdom Fall Foliage Festivals and so much more. You will have access to wireless internet in the suite, but no cell service yet. (Service at the lake for most carriers). We allow our guests to borrow our land line when needed. We are happy to visit with you and answer any questions or help you plan your excursions. We want you to have a great time. Since your space is a separate unit, you will have the option of visiting and/or enjoying your privacy. We both work from home so we are usually around. We love the community in our town, and in Vermont in general. The beauty, nature, lakes, rivers and variety of fun activities year round. Farmers markets, summer activities, local festivals, church breakfasts, live music, organic local food and the list goes on. Vermont has so much to offer. Colors of the Kingdom Autumn Festival Events all day in nearby St. Johnsbury, including Train Rides! Vermont's Northeast Kingdom Fall Foliage Festival Six unique festivals are held over six consecutive days, now over 50 years running. The communities of Walden, Cabot, Plainfield, Peacham, Barnet and Groton invite you to come celebrate rural Vermont in all of its splendor. We are located at the center of it all. From our location in West Barnet village you will have easy access to experience “Old Vermont” life with local crafts, hymn sings, band concerts, church suppers, historical tours and the most beautiful fall colors you have ever seen! see (website hidden) for full schedule. You will need a car or motorcycle to get around in this rural area. There are occasional scenic train rides (ask about them). If you are an avid cyclist, there are many loops and places to go, including special trails. We keep a pile of brochures of fun things to do available for you. Singer/Songwriters consider a retreat here and record in Johns beautiful studio. What better way to spend a long weekend or week than recording your album! Those who need a recharge, Janet can lead a healing retreat for you. We give our cars tune-ups, we should give ourselves one too! We are surrounded by mountains and the nearby views are wonderful. This is a comfortable convenient location for exploring or relaxing. You can walk, drive or bicycle to the beach at Harveys Lake in just a few minutes and enjoy swimming or picnics. Bring your boat if you wish. The boat ramp is only a couple of miles from here on the other side of the lake. You can relax by our gardens and the River right in our back yard.
