Little Chestnut Cottage

Situated in a quiet location in the village of Stonesfield, Little Chestnut Cottage is a charming self-contained base from which to explore the Cotswolds and local attractions in the Oxford area such as Blenheim Palace. The cottage is just over an hour away from London yet surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are plenty of walks straight from the door across the picturesque Evenlode valley. Shakespeare’s Stratford is less than an hour away if you want to go a little further afield. The space Little Chestnut Cottage is completely self-contained and is just across the driveway from our own cottage. It dates back to the early nineteenth century and was built as an outbuilding for animals and grain but has now been converted to provide a lovely place to stay for visitors to the Cotswolds. Downstairs is a comfortable bedroom, spacious bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs is an open plan sitting and dining area with the original wide floorboards and oak beams. Other things to note Breakfast - I can provide gluten free options if needed. Also alternatives to dairy if you let me know your preferences in advance. Internet - super fast (fibre to the property) broadband is available which is ideal if you are looking to do some remote working or video conferencing during your stay. Off street parking for one car is available on our driveway.
