Charming, comfortable cottage

Welcome to Grimstorp! A modernized cottage with the old atmosphere from 1795 still present. Here awaits a relaxing time in a cultural landscape, deep forests & magnificent archipelago. The city, other visiting spots & activities are not far away. The space The history about Grimstorp goes back to the 15th century but todays mainhouse is built 1795. We have renovated the house of 80m2 and it is now comfortable and modernized but with the old atmosphere still present. It is built as a traditional “doublecottage” which was common in Sweden in that time. You enter a hall and in front of you is a smaller room with two beds and a wardrobe. To the right you have the kitchen with dining table for 6 persons. In the kitchen you also find the door to the bathroom with a shower and a washingmachine. To the left from the hall is the spacious combined livingroom and bedroom. Here you have a double bed. In here is also the ironstove in front of the sofa for cosy evenings. The sofa can become a double bed as well. Outside the entrance the inner garden is surrounded by trees and two smaller buildings. One is the guesthouse, 17m2, with a bed of 140cm. In the garden you can always find a relaxing place in the sun or in the shadow during the day, whatever you prefer. The same goes for dining outside. The place lays by itself imbedded in meadows and old trees. There is a newly built garage and an old small house for wood that you see through the kitchen window. Other things to note Linen, towels and cleaning are not included but if you like we can arrange it for an extra cost.
