Skærven Beachfront Apartment D

This beautiful and historic landmark from 1933 is located right on the beach. The views are truly breathtaking and the area is very peaceful with the sound of singing birds and huge hares hopping around. There are 2 bedrooms in each condominium: both overlooking the ocean with 2 single beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen as well as laundry access. We could set up an extra cot if necessary for another guest or a portable crib if you let us know in advance. The space This is the perfect getaway if you love the ocean and beach. This 2 bedroom condo could not be better situated since it is right on the best sandy beach in Nyborg and it is very child friendly. This condo is perfect for a family of 4 or 5. The kitchen is fully equipped so making meals will not be a hassle. There is fast internet so you can cast your own netflix up on the television or stream your favorite programs or can sit there and read or relax with the family enjoying the view of the ocean. We could get access to a portable crib if you let us know in advance that you need one. There is plenty of parking on the premises and next to the premises so that will never be a problem. This is not a location for a party, unless you want to rent out the ballroom, but otherwise we like to keep our properties quiet and clean and we expect you to respect our home and treat it with kindness. A little bit of history on this charming beach house and ballroom: when it was founded, it used to be a party location with a grand ballroom where people would host all sorts of events and be shuttled in by train. I have included a few of the old photos in this listing so you can see. It then was purchased and became a vacation place for children with diabetes. Throughout the years many famous Danes have stayed here renting the vacation condos because if its history and amazing location. About us, I am an American (classically trained opera singer) married to a Danish man (business entrepreneur) with 3 great teenage kids. We lived in the US together for 7 years before we moved to Denmark 10 years ago. I ran a B&B out of my home for about 6 years before we decided to purchase this dream property. We would like to announce that we have facilities for fishing! We have a cutting table, a place to store gear as well a deep freezer. Cod boating expeditions leave from Nyborg, and there are 2 excellent fishing locations walking distance where you can catch flounder and trout. For me, giving that extra bit of service is in my blood. We supply all the towels, and linens in the house so you don’t need to feel like you have to bring your whole house with you and you do not have to pay extra for that unless you ruin something. We also supply shampoo, conditioner and body soap if you don’t want to use your own. We also supply kitchen dishrags, toilet paper, dish soap, tabs, salt and fluid to keep the glasses clean without streaks. We will thoroughly clean the house before and after you leave so check in will be around 5pm and check out will be between 10-11am. The cleaning fee is incorporated into the price but if you leave us an extraordinary mess to clean up, we will deduct a bit from your security deposit depending on the amount of time it takes to clean it all up. We are busy so the less we have to clean in between guests, the more grateful we will be. So, we will check the meter with you as you come and go, an average electric and heating usage has been included in the price but if you exceed the average, we will need to send you a bill for the extra usage. We will inform you what that will be upon checkout so there will be no surprises. Please be aware we are close to the motorway so it is easy to get here and we have incredible views of the bridge, but it also means there can be a little noise from traffic. Most people don’t have any issues with the traffic sounds whatsoever because the wind carries it away, but if you are very sensitive to noise, or want a secluded, silent getaway, it could be potentially be an issue for you. Guest access you can access all the common areas Other things to note Condo D is the condo closest to the parking lot. If we are not able to greet you for some reason, we will supply you with the code to the lockbox just outside the apartment. Please note that the deck outside of this apartment has some rot in the far corner but it doesn't impede access to the apartment. It is a priority for us to replace the deck. We are aware that it needs attention but since this is a historic property, there are many things that need attention. We are aware, and it is high on the agenda.
