Kitty's Cottage

Nestled in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht, Kitty’s Cottage sets the scene for a perfect staycation. In the 1960s the home housed many Gaeltacht students, today it has been renovated to unite the comfort of a by-gone era with quirky modern touches. The cottage can host up to six people in its three unique double bedrooms, and a cot can be arranged on request. The space Beautifully decorated, the home features a 1970s dresser, a turf-burning stove and a contemporary kitchen. Throw on some boots by day, and take in the extraordinary views of the renowned Wild Atlantic Way, by night, cosy up with a cup of tea or a glass of wine and take in the views of the twinkling constellations. Some of the local highlights include The Boat Strand, Carrickfinn Beach, Errigal Mountain and Cruit Island Golf course. We recommend kayaking in the caves of Owey Island (please ask for details) Home to the world’s most scenic airport landing, we are located less than 5km form Donegal Airport in the seaside village of Annagry. Indulge in fresh, local produce at Danny Minnie’s Restaurant. The multi-award-winning restaurant is right on our doorstep and is Donegal’s entry for Ireland’s Restaurant of the year 2020. Annagry is also home to Caisleáin Óir, a family-run hotel, offering local food, craft beers and signature cocktails. We are also within walking distance of two local pubs, Duffy's and Sharkey's, which have been staples of the community for generations. The cottage is comfortably furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and TV services. If you have a roof rack, the cottage offers two complimentary kayaks for your use during your stay.
