Our River Cottage #2 is a stone throw from world class fly fishing in a blue ribbon trout river, boat launch and Hobo Hot Springs. Hot springs are free and open 24/7. Easy access to the river from the back yard. Saratoga Lake is only 2 miles away. It is perfect for outdoor fun and retreat. Located four blocks from downtown. Walking distance to shops & restaurants. Our place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Not suitable for pets. Although the cottage is not riverfront, The River Cottages' property is on the river. All our guests have access to the river from our property. Exiting from the back door down the alley to the right, and about 50 to 75 steps, you will be on the river. Just off our bank is the best fishing hole within city limits. Guests have complete access to the grassy backyard that is shaded by majestic, mature cottonwood trees. Private access to the river is just a short walk from the cottage, across the back yard to the right down the alley. Either myself or my caretaker Alicia are available if you need anything. The neighborhood is very quiet. During the summer months we do have cars driving by to the boat launch and hot springs. Other than that you will enjoy the sounds of nature, scenic sunrises, sunsets, and wonderful starry nights from the backyard and porch. Don't be suprise to see deer lounging under the trees. Our cottages are excellently situated for walking to the downtown area highlighting shopping and dining, the hot springs, and Veterans Park. The Saratoga Museum is about a 4 block walk up a small hill. The lake is a little further. A car may be the prefer mode for transportation. Bicyling is a great mode of transporation as well. Bicycles can be rented at the Saratoga Inn Resort. Snowy Mountain Range is about a 30-45 minute drive. Encampment is about a 20 minute drive. The cottonwood trees tend to drip a residue in the summer months. Although we clean the sliding glass door and furniture on the porch before each stay, there may be a need to wipe down the furniture during your stay. We supply you with cleaning supplies underneath the kitchen sink. If you would like us to take care of it, please let me know and we are happy to accommodate you. Two sets of towels are provided for each guest. One set for the hot springs and the other for home use. If you would like a change of towels, we are happy to provide them for you. The BBQ is located on the side porch to the right as you exit the sliding glass door. In order to accommodate smaller parties, cottage 2 is designed to close off a portion of the cottage. For this reason the door from the kitchen accessing the side porch is locked. During your stay, no one else will be staying on the property. This is an older property with updates. Be aware there is a step up into the front bedroom, a step down to the front bathroom, and a step down into the kitchen.
