Large, well presented airy double room with adjacent private shower room, in a lovely period house, formerly a well known Tea Rooms and Antique Shop in the heart of Hastings Old Town. Option to rent 2nd room with bunk beds if required. We are happy to discuss discounting the room/s rates for stays of over three consecutive nights if requested prior to booking. The space Bedroom: This is a large comfortable double room with exposed wooden beams, ample wardrobe space, antique desk, chairs and fold up card/games table and a very comfortable double bed with Egyptian cotton bedding. Guests have sole use of the large modern shower room. The room looks out on to one of the most interesting streets in the Old Town. There are tea and coffee making facilities available in the room and access to WiFi. Second bedroom, if required, contains a set of bunk beds and is directly next to the main bedroom. This is a period house that is full of character and situated amongst the local shops and antique centres of this small yet busy street. Despite its central location this really is a peaceful retreat. A less than 5 minute walk will take you to the seafront, the Hastings Contemporary Gallery, museums, fishing boats and the unique black timber net huts, amusement arcades, and not forgetting, a large range of restaurants, shops and pubs and vibrant music scene. There are two nearby funicular railways which will transport you to either the East Hill and Country Park or the West Hill and Castle ruins - both affording wonderful views over the town and the sea. We are 10 minutes from Hastings town centre, 15 minutes from Hastings railway station and around 20 minutes walk from Hastings Pier and St Leonards. There is no parking available in our street but there are two local car parks nearby. A breakfast including tea or coffee, cereals, toast and a variety of breakfast spreads is included in the price. During your stay One or both of us are often at home or close at hand and will be here to greet you on your arrival.
