Our place is build in the area of the Village Agios Mironas near iraklion (28km) in the Island of Creta. The village is a very nice place where you can find almost everything to shop, have a coffee place and relax in a traditional tavern. The level is 800m above the sea so the air is always fresh and clear !! There is many beutiful places you can visit around , take a walk or do mountain bike.. The space A villa of historical value, traditional style, unique mountain view as well as privacy. It is located at the top of a very famous for its traditional architecture village called Agios Myronas. The villa also renovated in 2015 and has a large swimming pool which offers to the visitors relaxation.The entire village of Agios Myronas is definitely an unforgettable sightseeing and it is located 16 kilometres from Heraklion. It has a panoramic view in 21 villages, in the highest mountain of Crete called Psiloritis, the sea and the rich nature of the region, full of olive groves, vineyards, pine and poplar, Cypress and fruit trees. It is built on top of two hills at an altitude of 440 metres. The approximately 770 inhabitants engaged in agriculture and the production of grapes and wine. The village has a great history and a rich tradition. As a visitor you will be impressed with the samples of traditional architecture with most features the majestic three-aisled Church of the patron, the impressive school clock, the stone fountains, will "heard" myths and traditions, will 'communion' history. . BBQ facilities and free Wi-Fi are also available. In the courtyard you will find a superb swimming pool to cool the hot summer days. If you prefer swiming to the sea you can choose between wonderfull beaches Ammoudara, Ag.Pelagia, Palaiokastro where you can arrrive in 20 min. by car. You can either have your lunch / dinner in traditional taverns in the village (2min from the house by car) or cook you own meal in the kitchen or make barbeque in the gerden. Meanwhile the food preparation you can enjoy fresh cold draft beer. If there are children with you they will have lots of fun in the pool and enjoy many facilities in the garden. When the night comes you can either visit bars or restaurants in Ammoudara or Ag.Pelagia (touristic areas) or enjoy the night view by the pool.You will also enjoy in addition to the wonderful views, rich traditional dishes from fresh local products, Greek wine and the famous drink “Greek RAKI ” in restaurants and cafes all over the village. You purchased traditional tasty creations from the women's Cooperative "Melisande" and will be able to meet very friendly and kind people. Guest access Our place is simple but full equipped with everything you need for a confort staying. A nice barbaque in the Yard with LPG or Wood fire selection. Inside the house there is a nice kitchen with everything you need for cook and serve your lovely people. A beutiful bathroom decorated simple with wood and glass will give you all the confort you need. To the upper floor there is a double bed with space around for your stuff and enought room to put two more single beds. Mountain bikes is alawys available for you free of charge. My partner George is organizing daily Jeep Safari around the Island and this is an amazing trip, ask us about it. Other things to note You may order and assist in the preparation of a succulent dinner with a selection of the best cretan wines, our own raki and some home made liqueurs –a preorder of 2 days is required, to find the proper ingredients–. If you give us enough time it will be probable to offer a selection of meat or fish with freshly collected in the wild vegetables, depending on the season and weather. And all this at very competitive prices!
