Room two at Observatory Inn is a lovely double queen room, with high wood ceilings, exposed beams, and large windows with views of downtown Winthrop and the surrounding area. This room comfortably accommodates up to four guests. Additional amenities include a private bathroom, private balcony, desk, microwave, small refrigerator, Keurig and electric kettle with coffee and tea provided, wi-fi, and air conditioning. The space The Observatory Inn sits perched on a hillside overlooking downtown Winthrop, in the heart of Washington’s Methow Valley. The inn is located in a quirky and iconic building that was formerly known as “The Duck Brand”. We have updated the rooms, but much of the old charm remains. Our location in downtown Winthrop is unparalleled, you can wander out of your door and down the stairs to enjoy the hustle and bustle, yet the recreation and natural beauty that the Methow Valley is so well known for is conveniently accessed, with trails, lakes, rivers, and mountains to explore just a short drive away. We offer free parking onsite with plenty of space for trailers with your recreational equipment. The Inn is on a steep hillside, with stairs leading down to the Inn from the parking lot. Below the Inn you will find Jupiter, a delightful restaurant offering espresso, beer, wine, pastries, and ethnically infused, health conscious lunch and dinner. Beyond Jupiter’s deck, more stairs lead you to Winthrop’s main street in the heart of downtown, with additional dining options, shopping, and sightseeing. Other things to note Please note that there are steep steps to access the Inn and all of our rooms are television free so make sure to bring your own device to stream entertainment.
