Description
Glencoe House B&B on Anglesey Rd in Burton upon Trent has 1 cosy & comfortable double en-suite rm; guest lounge w/TV & wifi; guest area of kitchen; and off-road guest parking. Railway stn, bus stops, town ctr. are 15–20 min. walk away. Chippy nearby The space Burton is in the centre of England, 11 miles south of Derby and 13 miles north of Lichfield. Glencoe House is a 15-to-20-minute walk from the railway station, town centre and main bus stops. A newsagent’s & chippy are nearby. We’re in the heart of the National Forest, and Burton’s extensive footpaths on the Washlands (floodplains) along the River Trent are just a short walk away (about 10 minutes). Walkers and cyclists are welcome; and we’ve undercover storage for bikes. See website for more information on things to do in the Burton area. Guest access One off-road parking space is available for guests. Our guest lounge has tea-making facilities, a TV & wifi, and a library of books, plus bus & train schedules, and tourist leaflets. The kitchen has a self-catering area with a separate fridge for guests (although there’s a self-catering area of our kitchen for guests, I provide breakfasts — they’re included in the price). The carport offers shelter for guests who wish to smoke (no smoking within the premises). Note that we have a cat so if you prefer a B&B with no pets, try the Lock House in Branston, or the Acorns in Willington. They’re not far from here and both are listed on Air BnB. I’ve met with these owners and have seen their facilities, and can highly recommend them. During your stay I am happy to help guests and to advise on things like walks and public transport, and to answer any other questions. In the kitchen, there is a self-catering area and dining table for guests; I am sometimes working at the opposite end of the kitchen (it’s a big kitchen) and will respect the guest’s privacy whilst doing so. If the guests would prefer to eat privately, there is a small table in the guest lounge, and a tray for carrying their foods. Breakfasts are made to order, and special diets are catered for but I may need some notice if special ingredients are needed (no notice is needed for vegetarian). Other things to note Note that we do have a cat. If you prefer a B&B without pets, try the Lock House B&B in Branston, or the Acorns in Willington -- they're both excellent and are listed on Air BnB.
