Description

Welcome to Paradise Shores, we're happy you found us! Here at PS, we believe in reconnecting people to the simple pleasures of life in a no-frills, peaceful, camp like setting. Just steps away from the lake, Sierra Stream features queen size bed, fireplace, library and outdoor area with seating space & BBQ. The camper doesn't have a private bathroom but offers an open layout, close proximity to water and epic views (plus our immaculate shared bathrooms short walk away). The space PLEASE NOTE: After eleven wonderful years, we say goodbye to Paradise Shores, as we hope to continue our search for new horizons and new adventures that await us. We are grateful for many many memories that we will cherish forever. The family we have chosen to take over could not be better suited to the challenge. Peter and Kate have passion and commitment to further the Paradise project into areas we can only imagine. We are happy to know they're committed to maintaining the same standards, character and welcoming community vibe that we put our hearts into creating and nourishing over the years. We believe in campfires, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, a deep sleep and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and turn on your senses. When you arrive we won’t hand you a list of rules but we may invite you to join us for a campfire, remind you to conserve water, and to separate your trash so we can recycle it. That’s about it, oh yeah: relax, it’s your vacation. It's important to us that our guests don't feel they are renting a camper as much as they're immersing themselves into the outdoor experience. You may just want to sit outside and read for days. For the more adventurous, there's a full slate of self-guided recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, ATVing, rock climbing, biking, natural water slides, stand up paddle boards, bird watching, campfires & s'mores. We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet, however, we encourage our guests to “unplug" and immerse in the slow paced life instead. Note: Please read the entire listing description as well as the Covid-19 info prior to requesting the booking. THE AIRSTREAM: Do you enjoy camping but secretly wish you had a real bed, air conditioning (or indoor fireplace on the cooler nights) and fully equipped kitchen on hand? If so, the Sierra Stream delivers that and so much more! This Airstream is the perfect setup for a relaxing getaway and has city slickers with newly found passion for the outdoors written all over it. You’ll be getting the best of both worlds: waking up to breathtaking views while having access to most of the conveniences of home. The Sierra Stream trailer, our latest seriously cool Airstream remodel, is designed for nature-loving couple, but could also accommodate a family with a baby sleeping in with the parents. Just steps away from the lake, the Sierra Stream features a queen size bed with scenic mountain backdrop painted by Veronika and woodwork created by our friend Peter. A full size farmhouse sink, fireplace, library, spectacular view of the mountains and the lake, induction stove, Chemex coffee maker, cozy seating/dining area and hammock are just a few of our favorite features. Fridge, microwave and toaster are also part of the rental. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, soap, and all the typical kitchenware. An "oh so cozy" down comforter, cotton sheets, bath towels, and dish towels are all provided. Even though Sierra Stream offers many "luxuries", it does not have a toilet or shower. We wanted you to enjoy an open layout with tons of space and close proximity to the lake (this rental is located the closest to the shore). Including the shower/toilet would require hooking this camper up to septic, which wouldn't be possible at the current spot. We believe the location and the view you'll be getting are worth a little walk to our cute communal bathrooms (about 100 yards away). The camper has a wifi, cooling system, and an outside seating area with fire pit, barbecue and ultra cool camp stove. We also provide one-use supply of charcoal briquettes, to get you set up for your grilling and outdoor entertaining, and you can buy locally grown firewood at our office. So, all you really need to bring is some clothing and food. Pretty much everything else is covered. Our rate includes space rent, propane, wifi, a parking spot as well as 12% Mono County occupancy tax (TOT). Guest access You will have access to the entire camp. You can use our immaculate communal bathrooms. You are also welcome to use our various common areas with fireplaces and barbecues, which we tend to improve each year. We have camp laundry room available as well, please ask. There are couple of kayaks, SUP and paddle boat you can use for free on the reservoir. Other things to note * * * COVID 19 INFO* * * Warm greetings to you from our piece of paradise! Spring is here, flowers are out, birds are chirping and we have been working hard to ensure our camp is ready for the 2021 season. This is still a new reality we all are getting used to, please be kind and mindful while at the camp and adventuring in the area, respecting others’ space and maintaining the safe distance. We truly appreciate your flexibility and understanding. We understand the concerns around the virus and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to ensure a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests and staff: * Hand soaps, sanitizers, and disinfectants are available in all common areas for regular use. * Our public restrooms are closed to guests staying in their own RVs but will be available to guests staying in our rental campers, at tent sites or in camper vans / small trailers without a bathroom. * No need to check-in in person. Your welcome information, any latest updates, and check-in details will be emailed to you within a week prior to the arrival. For everyone’s safety, we ask you to please: * Please be respectful of the maximum occupancy in the rentals, as stated in the listing. Infants, children, and adults all count as one. * Starting June 15th, the face masks are not required outdoors. We will still ask you to wear them when inside our public restrooms, except when taking a shower or washing your face. * Please keep a safe distance from anyone that isn’t in your traveling party, including other guests and PS team members. * Consider getting your supplies before coming to our community. Now more than ever it is important to spend time connecting in the great outdoors. We are excited to welcome you, and are ready to share campfires, starry nights, and our serene area with you. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. It is a place where social distancing happens naturally. This is a great opportunity to be together in Nature and not to be isolated at home. Together (from a safe distance) we will remain healthy, positive, and strong! As we welcome people to our home, we would love to know who our guests are (via the "vibe" of their profile: photos, description, previous reviews, if any etc). We do understand though that this may be your first time booking via AirBnB. In case you haven't already, please add a photo of yourself and short description giving us a feel of who you are, what you're passionate about, what you enjoy doing in your free time etc., and verify your profile with the government ID. Please let us know who will be joining you on the adventure. Is it going to be your first RV living experience? First time in the Eastern Sierra? What has drawn you to our RV camp? We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you soon! We only accept requests from guests with fully completed and verified profiles. Please don't request our place if you're not willing to truly be part of AirBnB community. We're so grateful for all the wonderful travelers we've been able to connect with and host over the years thanks to AirBnB! Taxes, like death, are unavoidable. Our rates include 12% Transit Occupancy Tax (TOT) that is mandatory in Mono County for any guests staying for less than 31 days. Please keep in mind that some of the mountain passes - Tioga Road (main road to Yosemite – HWY 120), Sonora Pass (HWY 108), and Monitor Pass (HWY 89) don’t open until May or later, depending on the snowpack. Also, some of the passes can be closed during stormy weather. This is especially true in the spring and fall. Plan accordingly and always check CalTrans info before traveling. Our camp is located on the Bridgeport Reservoir and we cannot control nor guarantee the water level. It varies greatly, based on the snow pack and time of year. Typically, the lake’s edge will recede as the season progresses. So, if you are coming later in the season (late August onwards), you should expect the water level to be lower. With that said, the views and our sunsets are still breathtaking! :-) Regarding the pets, we love them all and you will see some adventure pups at the camp but they're not allowed in this camper. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted or re-used. * We strive to reduce the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility. * We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. * Essential oils are used to clean our campers. * We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We live in the desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day life and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh water. * The water used to wash our linens and towels is recycled to irrigate the numerous gardens on our property. * In all the campers, we provide our guests with “plant friendly” cleaning products. By only using eco friendly products, we are able to use the kitchen and shower’s water to irrigate our gardens. We hope you can help us maintain the greener camping!
