Period cottage by Chatsworth

This quaint old cottage has been updated with mod cons, yet retains its original charm. Accommodation is on 3 floors with steep stairs, so not suitable for less physically able guests. The ground floor has a spacious living area, kitchen, utility room and WC. 1st floor has a cosy sitting room and main bathroom, with 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Optional bed configuration (singles, king size) in one bedroom, double in the other. Free parking within 30m of cottage. First come first served basis. The space The front door leads into a downstairs living area with dining table, chairs, armchair and wood burner. Beyond this is a kitchen with fridge ( including ice box), oven and hob. From there go into the back yard - all enclosed with seating- or the utility room. The utility room has a microwave, washer, dishwasher and toaster and leads to a downstairs wc. Stairs from the living room lead up to the first floor with a cosy lounge with sofa and easy chairs and a TV with smart access. Across the landing is the spacious main bathroom with wc, bath, basin and separate shower. From there go into landing stairs lead to the top floor . The front bedroom contains a double bed and the rear bedroom zip and link beds which can be together or as singles. The property is a short walk along a footpath into Chatsworth park. There are multiple walks in the area as well as plenty of other amenities. To name a few- Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell, of pudding fame. Cycling is available, with bike hire nearby. In the village we have 2 gourmet pubs, an Italian restaurant, a winebar/ bistro, a cafe/bistro and an upmarket fine dining venue. There are several cafes and 2 food shops, with a post office. Sightseeing buses and service buses stop just down the road. Parking is on a first come, first served basis close by, for residents. We ask that only one car is parked here per booking as all residents like to use it. There is alternatively a municipal car park just around the corner by the village green. Guest access The whole property and yard is for your use. Other things to note This property is not suitable for those with mobility problems, with the steep stairs and bathroom being on a different floor to the bedrooms.
