Incredibly comfortable holiday home tucked away in a quiet pedestrian alley. 1 min walk from the town quay & Salcombe's many boutique shops & restaurants. Views of the estuary from the pretty walled garden. Linen provided. Fully refurbished, furnished & equipped to a high standard. Central heating & cosy wood burning stove for winter stays. DOGS NOT ACCEPTED For July & Aug, stays are for 7 nights ONLY starting on a Saturday From Sep 1 to June 30th you can stay 3 - 7 nights (3 night min stay) The space The cottage sleeps 6 with 2 bathrooms. The kitchen/diner is spacious and well equipped. There are grey granite worktops, an integrated dishwasher, electric hob & oven and generous fridge/freezer. Emma Bridgewater crockery and thermos flasks, cool bag and a BBQ help you make the most of the outdoors. Inside the dining area has a generous oak table & chairs and french doors lead to the rear garden with a lower secluded sun terrace and Bridgman dining table and matching garden chairs. There is also a mid terrace with more comfortable Bridgman seating. From the top of the garden you can see the sea which is less than two minutes' walk from the cottage. From the dining area, one doorway leads to a compact shower room & downstairs loo while the passageway beneath the stairs leads to the lovely living room with beautiful sofas, a cosy wood-burning stove, large flat screen TV, games cupboard and characterful furnishings. Practical flooring is laid in the kitchen to allow for sandy feet (and welly boots) but in the rest of the cottage there is Sisal flooring, Roger Oates rugs and curtains by designer Sarah Hardaker. Narrow stairs lead up to the compact upper floor. there is a well-proportioned family bathroom (with shower, corner bath and WC) and all three compact, light-filled bedrooms have lovely views over the pretty tree-filled garden to the rear, or towards the old stone church at the front. All of the bedrooms feature curtains with blackout linings for lazy mornings and two have blackout roller blinds. The master bedroom has a Vi Spring 5' 6" king+ bed, fitted cupboards, a vintage painted table and a hand basin. Next to this is a twin room with two comfortable 3ft beds, a fitted cupboard, an antique bedside table and a painted chest of drawers in the bay window. The third twin bedroom has two new 3ft Vi Spring beds, a fitted wardrobe and a pretty Lloyd loom arm chair. A cupboard on the landing houses the combi- boiler (for constant hot water supply), an integrated washing machine/drier for emergency use and a drying rack, iron & ironing board. Guest access Guests have use of the entire cottage, the walled garden and two lower terraces. The upper terrace is used by the owners if and when they are present (v occasional basis) but otherwise you are welcome to use it. Other things to note Please note parking is very limited right in the centre of Salcombe. You can offload your luggage very close to the property, and we then recommend the free (but limited) parking further up the hill or the main car park, 6 minutes walk around the sea front and approx. £8 per day (available on the Ringgo app.)
