Thus, its Venetian architecture bares elements of the Ottoman architecture.Part of the building facing to the south has been fully preserved as it was initially originated by the Venetians; also, its Venetian courtyard with the three pillars and a unique octagon artistic fountain as it is the only one saved among the three that existed on the island of Crete.
