A Quintinha - Charming Nest

A Quintinha is set in the Alentejo region in the midst of the countryside yet only 15 minutes drive to the ocean and the surfing beaches. Our small farm is located close to Cercal do Alentejo, an enjoyable walk away, where all amenities can be found - cozy cafes, local restaurants, grocery stores, ATM, etc. The Nest is set on a hectare of land with private access and parking. The space Perched on the top of our land, the Nest is tucked under the trees and fully embedded in nature. A gentle walk (150m) past the chicken coop, along the organic veggie garden and through the small orchard, will take you to this charming location. Built with our own hands, the Nest consists of one large open space with a stunning view over the cork oaks and the hilly landscape of Alentejo. It features a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and bedroom space with double bed. Outside, the wooden deck shaded by a cork oak is the perfect place for outdoor meals and chill time. Only a few steps away, the private bathroom has a solar heated shower, sink and compost toilet. With the intention of preserving and regenerating its surroundings, A Quintinha offers a mindful and responsible stay. We use natural and eco-friendly detergents and soaps, recycle the grey water for garden irrigation and use solar energy to generate hot water. The Nest is the perfect getaway for nature lovers, outdoor adventurers and stargazers! Guest access You will share parking space with our other guests and venture on a comfortable walk up the land (150m) to access the Nest. Other things to note YOGA – We offer custom on-request yoga classes. Emma is a 200hrs certified yoga teacher, always keen to share some time on the mat. SUP – We also organise Stand Up Paddle initiation & tours. Tom is a passionate waterman and can take you out on a SUP exploration ! CYCLE – The beautiful country lanes offer the perfect opportunity for a great time on a bicycle. Bikes are available for rent. WALK – Cercal is also a stop over for the well-known Rota Vicentina pathway which discovers the nearby countryside and seashore through an extensive network of trails – we can organise drop-off / pick-up services if needed.
