Midway between Lincoln & Newark on a quiet small family farm, nestled in a private site in the small village of Norton Disney. With striking countryside views, accommodation is spread across the 1st floor of a converted old barn accessed via an external staircase. The private lodging, with vaulted ceilings is a perfect place to relax & enjoy the area. Within the village is The Green Man, friendly real ale pub & eatery. We can be reached by Car or Rail (Short Cab ride from Newark or Collingham). The space Access is down a private farm track and the accommodation comprises of a first floor private entrance, a bathroom with a bath and shower over, a double bedroom and an L shaped lounge kitchen diner all of which benefit from central heating. There is separate ground floor shared laundry room with an additional toilet, parking and a private, securely fenced, dog and child safe, grassed, south facing garden with a patio area for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the beautiful open valley countryside views. Other things to note A breakfast hamper is included for the duration of your stay. This contains fruit juice, a selection of caffeinated and decaffeinated tea and coffee, hot chocolate, semi-skimmed milk, cereal and local bread for toast, local croissants with conserves, local eggs and sometimes seasonal fruit grown on the farm (as and when available). It is left in the accommodation for our guests to prepare themselves. Please message on booking with any specific dietary requirements or allergies. We can accommodate up to 3 adults. The arrangement is: 2 adults in a double bed in the main bedroom, where there is also space for either a travel cot (approx age 0-2) or a toddler bed (approx age 2-5) within the bedroom space and/or a single folding camp bed for an older child, teen or a third adult can be provided for the lounge/communal area. The accommodation is a converted brick, first floor, old farm barn loft area accessed by an external painted wooden staircase. It is situated above a double garage. Please be aware that there is limited head height in the eves of the accommodation, which includes part of the bathroom but full head height in the central areas. We are located 2 miles from Collingham and 3.6 miles from Bassingham where there are lovely local shops and facilities. We are 7 miles from Newark and 12 miles to Lincoln. We have Wifi internet, a modem & an Ethernet connection included so we are equipped for business guests in addition to leisure. In addition to the standard Freeview channels via the roof aerial we provide a Fire TV stick and remote. Guests have access to free streaming services such as BBCiplayer, ITVX, My5 etc (guests own free account login required for each service) via the Wi-Fi and Fire stick if they wish to use them. They can also log into their own subscription accounts such as Netflix, Prime, Disney plus and continue watching their own TV away from home. The main farm entrance gate is padlocked at approx 10pm and unlocked again at 7.15am on weekdays and 8.30-9.00am on weekends. Guests are provided with their own gate key in addition to their accommodation key in case they require access after 10pm or exit earlier that 7.15am or the gate can be unlocked by the hosts earlier/later than these times by prior arrangement. A well behaved dog is welcomed but must be kept on a lead when outdoors as we have livestock and free roaming poultry. Poo bags are provided for picking up any dog waste. We respectfully request that dogs are not permitted on the furniture. We are happy to provide a dog bed if required. We are situated in an equestrian area with local events, cross country course hire and hacking. We are across the road from Norton Disney BE horse trials event that runs twice a year, also a short distance from Newark and Lincolnshire show ground. If you would like to bring your horse to stay with you we have stables, paddocks and a 40x40m sand and fibre ménage. Please send us an enquiry so this can be facilitated.
