Description
Seaspray bothy is one of two unique chalets inspired by the traditional Scottish bothy. Located in the crofting village of Arivruaich, Seaspray is set in stunning scenery on the shores of Loch Seaforth. It is conveniently positioned midway between the ferry terminals of Stornoway and Tarbert. Although Seaspray is a stone's throw from the loch shore with no one to overlook you, the A859 is at the end of the croft and a bus stop 5 minutes walk away allowing easy access to the rest of the Island. The space Seaspray Bothy has a bedroom and a bathroom. It is furnished with a luxurious super king-sized bed, bed linen and towels. The bathroom contains a large walk-in shower and is large enough to hang any wet clothing. Seaspray has underfloor heating to create a comfortable warmth in the tiled floor and a wood burning stove to heat the room. The wood burner is supplied with firelighters, kindling and fuel and guests are encouraged to light the fire and experience the stunning atmosphere of this location. Seaspray and Driftwood Bothies are linked by the shared space of a covered courtyard. Outdoor seating is provided for guests to enjoy the ever changing scenery. Cooking facilities are only provided outdoors beneath the covered courtyard. There is a portable electric hob which is free to use. Plates, cutlery, utensils and cookware are all provided. A BBQ is also provided and can be used with a fee of £10 per night which includes the fuel, set up and clean down the next day. It is possible to use your own camping stoves in this area as a well. In the courtyard there is also a Belfast sink with hot water for any washing up required, along with outdoor seating and table. A small fridge is provided inside the Bothy to store any perishable foods. The floor of Seaspray is tiled and level to allow unrestricted access to all areas including the shower. There is a small step into the Bothy from the courtyard. Registration Details ES00398F
