The space More information To make the most of the far-reaching countryside views the Coach House is in an upside-down configuration. The open plan kitchen/dining and sitting room take over the entire top floor with six large south-facing roof windows opening fully and flooding the room with light. There is a modern, newly fitted kitchen, a large farmhouse table, comfortable seating, exposed ceiling beams and a log burner for the cooler evenings. The barn is stocked with many lovely books about the various attractions in the immediate area. Downstairs, you enter from your own private garden to the hallway which has coat and boot storage in the understairs cupboard. On this floor are the two cosy bedrooms both with windows onto the garden (one with a king size bed and the other with an adaptable twin bed/super-king bed). The beds in both rooms are modern and comfortable and the linen is all white Egyptian cotton. Both bathrooms in the house are newly fitted, with gorgeous glazed ceramic tiles - the king-sized room has its own ensuite shower room* and there is a further family bathroom with bath and shower over for the use of the second bedroom. *Please note - bathroom refurbishment (completing 1st March 2026) The Coach House will still offer one full family bathroom for guests to share (with sink, loo, shower-over-bath). Other things to note We are located down a gravel farm track just off the Lane leading from the village of Ashford-in-the-Water to Monsal Head. Very low sports cars may not like the cattlegrids on our drive. There may be sheep and lambs grazing in our fields at various times throughout the year.
