Bright and airy guesthouse with mountain and fjord views

Welcome to our light, and bright gousthouse by the woods , overlooking the Hardangerfjord. The house is made in wood, glass and slate. It contains one large room with an additinal bathroom, with balcony and a garden . Its a cosy house , with nice artistic decorations. We are happy to give recommodations concerning trips, hikes and things to do during your stay The space Our enviormental house by the woods gives you a cosy home from which you can explore rural Hardanger . Relax in the sofa on the porch. Enjoy the fire in the slate oven while planninga a hike in the nearby mountains. We live next to a kindergarden and a nice little path to walk thru the woods and farmland for even better view. Our local village Øystese can offer a brand new swim/ sauna facility "the Hardangerbadet", lokal shops and a nice beach with a white church and park . Visit our art museum Kabuso, and lokal cider appelfarm "Spildegarden", as well as pizzerias, Øystese fjordhotell, Hardangersenteret and Tunet where you can eat out. Enjoy sightseeing and shopping in Norheimsund, visit Hardanger Fartøyvernsenter our most reccomended wooden boat museum in the country, where lending a rowing boat to explore the fjord is included in the ticket. Peter ( host) has his workshop there as a wooden boat builder. Take a stroll under the waterfall "Steinsdalsfossen" and get a nice view of the scenery. Our house is situated in the heart of the Hardangerfjord where you are close to the blooming of fruittrees and cherries in spring and lokal fruit marked in fall. We have easy access to both crosscountry, downhill, randonee and telemark mountain skiing facilities during winter. You can see the glacier "Folgefonna" on the other side of the fjord and take trips to numerous destinations of mountains , valleys and special places by the fjord like Oksen, Trolltunga, Bondhusvatnet mm Guest access You have the guesthouse by yourself in addition to the porch, the garden in front of the porch as well as the garden beside the guesthouse. The grass volleyballcourt by the guesthouse are free to use and share with our young adult children who are devoted to the sport . You can use the driveway closest to the guesthouse to park your car.
