The cottage has a cosy wood burner and an enclosed courtyard, perfect for a family holiday with your four-legged friend. The space This sweet stone cottage has lots of charm, with bright interiors and gorgeous original features, like the wooden beams and floors. Rustle up dinner in the kitchen area of the open plan living space, then enjoy it together at the dining table. On the evenings sit around the wood burner in the inglenook fireplace and watch the Freeview TV or put on your favourite DVD. There are two bright bedrooms, a king with a handy wardrobe and a double with storage under the bed. There’s also a family bathroom for quick showers and long soaks. On warm evenings, take your glass outside to enjoy the last of the sun while Fido roams in the pretty, enclosed courtyard. If you fancy dinner al fresco, there’s a kettle charcoal BBQ. Take your pick of rural and coastal walks, you’re perfectly placed for both here. As the historic mining centre on the peninsula, you’re likely to come across disused engine houses on your walks. Take a tour of Geevor Tin Mine, a World Heritage Site sitting on the cliffs above the “Tin Coast” just 3 miles away. Head to St Ives (14 miles) to visit the Tate; there’s a good local bus service if you want to leave the car at home. Be sure to visit the local pub for drinks or dinner (100 metres away) during your stay, where canine visitors will be given their own treats.
