This rustic log home with modern amenities is situated on 15 acres on the outskirts of the village of Hamden. Stay cool with the new AC unit, relax in a two person, indoor Jacuzzi tub or kick back on any of the 3 covered porch decks in a park-like setting. Thousands of acres of public hiking and hunting land are all within a 30 minute drive. Fish or kayak nearby Lake Rupert or Alma, or hike in the Hocking Hills. Also high speed Frontier fiber optic WiFi and 4 smart TVs. The space Located on the southern edge of the village of Hamden, this private home is located within a 30 mile radius of many of Southeastern Ohio’s public recreation areas. The nearby state parks, forests, nature preserves, and wildlife areas offer hiking, fishing, boating, hunting, atv areas, bicycle trails, and bridle trails. See the map in the photo section. Two licensed kayaks with adult life jackets are available for you to use on any of the nearby lakes. A gas log fireplace adds to the ambiance of this cozy cabin and a washer and dryer are available for your use. Pets are not permitted. No hunting or target shooting is allowed on the property. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house and 15 acres of property. Other things to note Pets are not permitted. Although very private, there are a few neighbors within sight of the home. The log house property adjoins my farm and the Hamden railroad yard. Bird feeders, mineral blocks, and planted food plots enhance wildlife viewing right from the elevated porches. I may be available in person and always by phone if needed. In addition to three private bedrooms, the laundry room with a thick sleeping pad and the living room with a double sized futon, offer two additional sleeping areas if needed for guests. *Bug Note* Although this cabin nestled in a wooded setting is treated for insect pests, it is a given you will encounter them. Asian beetles, bees, stink bugs, are just a few varieties found here throughout the year.
