Description

Our very unique and special woodland yurt is totally off-grid. Located in a private and ancient woodland on our farm, just outside Hambledon, in the heart of Hampshire, the perfect place to explore the South Downs National Park. A lone yurt in ancient woodland in the heart of Hampshire. Shrouded in nature. Hear the deer rustle through the brambles and watch the sunlight dapple the white, wood smoke rising through the trees. A place to relax through all the seasons. The space The woodland yurt is 15ft in diameter, well insulated, and contains a double bed (with bedding), a wood burning stove, and a rocking chair. There are also two small single mattresses (no bedding). There is a kitchen shack with running drinking water a gas hob with cooking and eating utensils, tea and coffee, and there is a fire pit with a grill. There is a composting loo down a path behind the yurt for you to use. Guest access This area of the woodland is for you. Please be quiet and conscious of wildlife, especially when exploring other areas. There are proper toilets and a shower nearby at Rushmere Farm Workshops, so if you want to get clean head down the track and take a right at the double gates, walk 200m up the road, pass double metal gates on your left and turn left into the next entrance. Go through the wooden gates and on your left will be the toilets and showers. Directions are given to the parking for the woodland yurt. Park here or at Rushmere Farm Workshops and avoid driving where possible, to reduce noise impact on the natural surroundings and to reduce carbon emissions. Other things to note Wood is provided for the yurts wood burning stove. Extra wood can be purchased during your stay at £10 per basket. Tea, coffee and cereal is provided.
