The space 1 bedroomed, sleeping up to 2 people cottage in the heart of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site. This lovely stone built cottage, overlooks a 13th Century chapel with views across this beautiful town and is located on a quiet cobbled side street, in a Conservation Area. It is filled with vintage charm and has a boutique feel. Whether you arrive by car, train or bus you're just minutes away from the town centre, making this one of the most accessible places to stay in the county we believe. We aim to provide comfortable clean but affordable accommodation. Guest access Good heating upstairs and down, with a cast iron gas fired stove in the character fireplace, with lovely furnishings and quality fabrics and linens Strutt Cottage is the perfect, quaint romantic bolthole for couples. A private fenced sun-trap garden with a high patio that has an amazing Mary Poppins-like view of Belper and the surrounding countryside from the top. There is a Freesat and HDTV, DVD player and free WiFi. Belper is the beating heart of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, surrounded by stunning countryside, making a perfect playground for walkers and explorers. Please Note: the staircase in Strutt Cottage is quite steep (there is a good handrail) with a tight turn at the top. This staircase is original and is over 200 years old. Also note the garden steps are steep too - and again there is a handrail. Please be aware if you have mobility issues. Other things to note Situated in the Conservation Area of Belper, with lovely far reaching views. 5 mins walk from town centre amenities yet situated on a quiet side street. 5 mins to trains and some fantastic places to eat, an old fashioned cinema where you can sit on a sofa, drink wine, eat cake and watch a movie.
