Have a quiet and peaceful experience our home in France, located within Basse Normandy in the area of Manche, an area of great natural beauty and full of medieval and war history. Ideally suited for couples and adults with discerning taste and those looking for some special accommodation. We are fully heated with underfloor heating and a wood burner. There is an additional charge for the underfloor heating during October to April. Normandy is famous for its history, wonderful cider, Calvados brandy, green fields, stone houses and delicious cheeses. The Barn is very well furnished and appointed, the rooms are all of a generous size. It is light, airy and spacious in summer, yet warm and cosy in winter. Ideally located for day visits to many places of interest such as the spectacular Mont St Michel. The Blanche L'Abbeye is in nearby Mortain along with the waterfalls, the Cascades. Mortain and the local area is full of WWII history. There are monuments and ruins at Vire , Fougeres, Avranche Caen and also the Bayeux tapestry to see not far away. We are close enough to visit the Normandy D-Day beaches for day trips. Ideally situated for hiking, biking and there is an excellent golf course near Vire. Water activities at Lake Danthee. We have introduced specific cleaning criteria and we are using recommended products. We supply hand soap at every basin. Self check in Free WiFi connection.
