One of just six farmhouses in the rural parish of Gratton, Dale End House is found on a quiet lane in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It enjoys unspoilt countryside, popular with walkers and mountain bikers alike yet is only six miles from Bakewell and Matlock. We discovered Dale End House whilst mountain biking through Gratton Dale and instantly fell in love with it. Surrounded by breath-taking views, and abundant wildlife - Gratton is one of Derbyshire’s best-kept secrets. The space Self-catering and Bed & Breakfast accommodation is available within the grounds of this fine Grade II listed Derbyshire long house. Both The Barn & The Lodge overlook a courtyard with ducks and chickens, but are separated from each other by a traditional 2 storey stable block running through the middle of the old farmyard, adding to the privacy both buildings provide. These properties have unspoilt views over open fields, with sheep and scattered trees on the hillside and a babbling brook. We have lovingly restored The Lodge and The Barn to an exceptionally high standard. Both have large open plan lounges with sofas and TV, a dining area and ensuite shower rooms. Under floor heating throughout. Guests may bring one well behaved dog - but please mention this when booking. Guest access The entire Barn and the surrounding garden and parking area. Other things to note Each bedroom as its own ensuite - all have showers, one also has a bath. The two rooms with Kingsize beds can also be set up as twins if preffered. There are also a couple of blow up mattress's, and cots for younger ones. Guests may bring one dog - but please mention this when booking. There are chickens and ducks here so care must be taken with dogs please. We have super fast (Starlink) broadband.
