St. Michael's Mission, South Hall, Second Floor

Welcome to St. Michael's Mission, circa 1924. Relax on 50 sprawling and secluded acres which adjoins thousands of acres of public lands. (which no one seems to know about...) Enjoy splendid gorge hiking along the hemlocks to Hemlock Lake, a privatized & undeveloped finger lake. This castle on a hill was originally built as a live in seminary, large halls lend to a dorm era gone by, with large rooms and full private baths. Your stay includes a glorious and sunny eat in social kitchen. The space The Mission is a large facility with multiple wings and rooms. St. Michael's was originally built as a live in seminary and despite being modified over the years, still has a dorm and mission style feeling with large halls, classrooms, libraries, chapels etc... There are seven kitchens throughout the facility and generally we situate parties so that they are together and share common spaces among their group and couples and smaller groups get placed together in smaller halls. Groups of 10 or more have the option to reserve the entire second floor and wing of what is known as the south hall, which grants you private access to what is affectionately known as the Singapore kitchen. It is a long easterly and northern facing kitchen full of windows; bright and beautiful all the day light hours of the day. Large eat in and social area, and table seating for 8-12 guests. Guest access Guests of this listing are reserving an entire floor, there are two living rooms, a large classroom, a secondary staff style kitchen, as well as a Jacuzzi tub, an extra communal bath, and two laundry rooms on this floor. (over 7000 sq ft of living space) Please note there are RING cameras installed at main entrances which are automatically recording all visitors coming and going, (audio and video) Other things to note Please note: This listing is nine total bedrooms and is designed for large groups. If you're a group four or under, we may wish to place you elsewhere or propose an amended reservation in order to accommodate larger groups, or we may decline your reservation for this space. If your group size is five to eleven, we may accept other bookings for this floor and it may be shared with other groups. Otherwise, for 12 or more, this floor is exclusively for your use. We will generally always provide equal or better placement or offer other concessions if any issues arise. Thank you for your understanding and please ask if you are unsure. This facility has been made available to the Airbnb community in an effort to support a unique vision for restoring this magnificent property; such a cause is what you support in staying here while we work towards preserving these historic timepieces. The mission is a very unique property with much character, and time tested durability and structural rigidity. It is actively being lived in and cared for and preserved for future generations. We are generally open from April - December, and we shutter this part of this facility in the winter. Please note: Parties and events are not allowed per Airbnb policy.
