A cozy 3 bedroom house in the heart of Þingeyri, a small fishing village where life has been shaped by the sea for centuries. Situated in Dýrafjörður, one of Iceland's most scenic fjords and the stage of Gísla Saga. The area is fantastic for hiking, horse riding, mountain biking and kayaking. Take a stroll, visit the local swimming pool or enjoy a cup of coffee at Simbahöllin. Close to Ísafjörður, the capital of the Westfjords, where you can take a boat to the remote Hornstrandir Nature Reserve. Other things to note Please note that there is only one small shop in Þingeyri so please stock up on gourmet food and alcohol on your way in Reykjavík, Ísafjörður or other bigger towns.
